From Tebah and Kun, towns that belonged to Hadadezer, David took a great quantity of bronze, which Solomon used to make the bronze Sea, the pillars and various bronze articles.

He took a huge amount of bronze from Tebah and Kun. Those towns belonged to Hadadezer. Later, Solomon used the bronze to make the huge bronze bowl for washing. He also used it to make the pillars and many other bronze objects for the temple.

And from Tibhath and from Cun, cities of Hadadezer, David took a large amount of bronze. With it Solomon made the bronze sea and the pillars and the vessels of bronze.

鑄銅作盤、徑一丈、周三丈、高五尺。盤外四周鑄牛二行、每徑一尺、有牛十、環繞其盤、盤與牛同時而鑄。盤以銅牛十二為負、分東西南北而立、每方各三牛、牛尾內向。盤厚一掌、其旁如盂、飾以百合花形、中可容一萬八千斗。又鑄盆十、左右各五、凡獻燔之物、則濯於盆、惟祭司濯用巨盤。

耶和華殿中銅柱盆座、巨盤、俱為迦勒底人所毀、攜其銅至巴比倫、其釜、鍫、剪、鼎、及諸銅器、以供役事者、悉攜之去、其杯棬、其盤、其盂、其鼎、其燈臺、其剪、其壺、及金銀諸器、俱為侍衛長所取。昔所羅門、為耶和華殿、造諸銅器、不能權其輕重、即二柱、一巨盤、盆座下銅牛十二、每柱高丈有八尺、四周丈有二尺、其柱維空、厚約四指、每柱有銅頂、高五尺、欄杆石榴圍其四周、悉以銅鑄、櫺上雕石榴之形、各方九十六、與角共計之、數約一百。

鑄銅柱二、高俱丈有八尺、周圍丈有二尺。鑄銅為頂、置於柱首、頂各高五尺。柱頂飾以櫺、狀如欄杆、亦飾以絡、狀如金索、其數各七。柱頂櫺上四周作石榴之形二行、二櫺以為蓋、俱循一例。柱頂之狀、如百合花、其廣四尺、在廊有之、櫺形維圓、各柱頂上、與櫺相對之所、有石榴之形二行、其數二百、柱式俱如一例。遂立柱於殿廊、右柱命名雅斤、左柱命名波士。柱頂有百合花之狀、作柱之工既竣。鑄銅作盤、形製維圓、徑一丈、周三丈、高五尺、盤外四周、鑄匏瓜二行、每徑一尺有匏瓜十、環繞其盤、盤與瓜同時而鑄、盤以銅牛十二為負、分東西南北而立、每方各置三牛、牛尾內向。盤厚一掌其旁如盂、飾以百合花形、中可容一萬二千斗。又鑄銅作盆座十、每座縱橫俱四尺、高三尺、其狀如左、座之四旁各有相接之處。其間有獅牛與𠼻𡀔［口氷］之像、接處之上有座、獅牛像下、有如結綵垂焉。盆座各有銅輪銅軸四、軸之四端有物以間隔、盆下鑄間隔之物、在結綵旁、自座頂至盆口高一尺、其口乃圓、與座無異、廣尺有半、口上有緣、雕刻之形、皆方而不圓。緣下有四輪、輪軸與座相連、輪高一尺有半、輪狀如車輪、其軸其環其輻其軹、俱鑄以銅。座之四隅有間隔之物、與座俱製以銅。座上有緣、其形維圓、高約半尺、旁及相接之處、俱製以銅。在其旁及相接處、雕刻𠼻𡀔［口氷］、及獅與棗樹之形、俱遵式而作、四周狀若結綵。鑄其十座、所循之度量維一、以銅鑄盆十、各容二百六十斗、其徑四尺、置於座上。殿之左右、各置五盆、置巨盤於院右東南隅。戶蘭為所羅門王作耶和華殿之物、如盆、鍪、盂、及二柱、柱上各有一頂、其形圓、以櫺為蓋、櫺上有石榴之形四百、櫺各二行、以蓋柱上之頂、座十、座上之盆十、巨盤一、負以銅牛十二、其鼎其鍫其盂、戶蘭為所羅門王所作。耶和華殿之器、俱光潔之銅所製。在約但平原、數割撒利但間、王取土為模以鑄此銅、所作之器、既繁且多、不可勝數、銅之重輕、所羅門置而不問。

我在患難中、曾為耶和華之殿、備金一萬五千萬兩、銀十五萬萬兩、銅鐵甚多、不能權其輕重、木石我曾備之、爾益其數。
