And I will provide a place for my people Israel and will plant them so that they can have a home of their own and no longer be disturbed. Wicked people will not oppress them anymore, as they did at the beginning

I will provide a place where my people Israel can live. I will plant them in the land. Then they will have a home of their own. They will not be bothered anymore. Sinful people will no longer crush them, as they did at first.

And I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them, that they may dwell in their own place and be disturbed no more. And violent men shall waste them no more, as formerly,

耶和华在古时（“在古时”或译：“从远处”）曾向以色列（按照《马索拉文本》，“以色列”应作“我”；现参照《七十士译本》翻译）显现，说：“我以永远的爱爱你，因此，我对你的慈爱延续不息（“我对你的慈爱延续不息”或译：“我要以慈爱吸引你”）。童女以色列啊！我要再次建立你，你就必被建立。你要再次拿起铃鼓，出去和那些欢乐的人一同跳舞。你要再次在撒玛利亚的众山上栽种葡萄园，栽种的人栽种了，必可享用所结的果子。因为有一天，守望的人要在以法莲山上呼叫，说：‘起来吧！我们上锡安去朝见耶和华我们的神。’”耶和华这样说：“你们要为雅各喜乐欢呼，要为那在列国为首的呼喊。你们要宣告，要颂赞，说：‘耶和华啊！求你拯救你的子民，就是以色列的余民。’看哪！我必把他们从北方之地领回来，把他们从地极招集起来；在他们中间有瞎眼的、瘸腿的、孕妇、产妇，都在一起；他们成群结队返回这里。我引导他们的时候，他们必哭着而来，并且向我乞恩恳求。我要使他们走在溪水旁，行在平直的路上，他们必不会绊跌；因为我是以色列的父亲，以法莲是我的长子。“列国啊！你们要听耶和华的话，要在远方的海岛传扬，说：‘那赶散以色列的神，必再招集他们；必看守他们，像牧人看守自己的羊群一样。’因为耶和华买赎了雅各，从比他更强的人手中把他救赎了出来。他们必来到锡安的高处欢呼；他们必容光焕发，因为耶和华赐他们各样的美物，就是五谷、新酒和油，还有羊羔和牛犊。他们必像有水灌溉的园子，永不再枯干。

我必把它们从万族中领出来，从列邦中聚集它们，领它们归回故土。我必在以色列的群山上，在众溪水旁，在国内一切居住的地方，牧养它们。

我必把他们栽于他们自己的土地，他们再不会从我赐给他们的土地上被拔除。”这是耶和华你的神说的。

他要抹去他们的一切眼泪，不再有死亡，也不再有悲哀、哭号、痛苦，因为先前的事都过去了。”

我必关注他们，眷顾他们，领他们归回这地。我必建立他们，必不拆毁；我必栽植他们，必不拔除。

所以你必不再吞吃人，也必不再使你的国民丧失子女。这是主耶和华的宣告。我必使你不再听见列国的羞辱，你必不再受万族的辱骂，也不再使你的国民跌倒。这是主耶和华的宣告。’”

那时你们在过犯和罪恶中行事为人，随着时代的潮流，也服从空中掌权的首领，就是现今在悖逆的人身上运行的灵。我们从前也都和他们在一起，放纵肉体的私欲，随着肉体和心意所喜好的去行；我们与别人一样，生来都是可怒的儿女。

为锡安悲哀的人穿上装饰，赐给他们华冠代替灰尘，喜乐油代替悲哀，赞美衣代替沮丧的灵，他们必称为公义的橡树，是耶和华栽种的，好使他自己得着荣耀。

在你的国中必不再听见强暴的事，在你的境内，也不再听到荒废和毁坏的事；你必称你的城墙为“拯救”，称你的城门为“赞美”。

你曾亲手把列国赶出去，却栽培了我们的列祖；你曾苦待众民，却使我们的列祖昌盛。

仇敌必不能欺骗他，凶恶的人必不能压迫他。

你靠着自己的智慧和聪明，为自己得了财富，把所得的金银放进自己的府库里。

重建你的（按照《马索拉文本》，“重建你的”作“你的儿女们”；现参照《死海古卷》和其他古译本翻译）要急速归回，那些毁坏你的和那些使你荒废的，都必离你而去。
