其實孰能為天主建殿哉、天與天上之天、不足以居之、我何人斯、焉能為之建殿乎、第獻祭於其前而已、

主如是云、天乃我之寶座、地乃我之足凳、爾曹可為我建何殿、我駐蹕之所、可在何地、主曰、此諸物皆我手所造、此諸物皆我使有、凡困苦者、心憂傷者、敬畏我名者、我必眷顧、

然天主豈真與世人同居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建之殿乎、

眾請主之匱入、置於其所、在大衛所張之幕、大衛於主前獻火焚祭及平安祭、

祭司與利未人、將主之匱及會幕、並幕中一切聖器、皆舁之上、

我列祖在曠野有法幕、如諭摩西者、命其遵所見之式而作、此幕我列祖承受之、與約書亞攜入所得列族之地、其諸族天主於我列祖前逐之、法幕傳至大衛、大衛獲寵於天主前、欲為雅各之天主覓得居所、所羅門為天主建殿、然至上者不居手造之殿、如先知所言、主曰、天乃我寶座、地乃我足凳、爾曹為我建何室、何地為我駐蹕之所、萬物非我手所造乎、使徒申語眾之

然天主豈真居於地乎、天與天上之天、尚不足為主之居所、況我所建此殿乎、
