I will be his father, and he will be my son. I will never take my love away from him, as I took it away from your predecessor.

Kiss his son, or he will be angry and your way will lead to your destruction, for his wrath can flare up in a moment. Blessed are all who take refuge in him. (niv)

and did not inquire of the Lord. So the Lord put him to death and turned the kingdom over to David son of Jesse. (niv)

And,“ I will be a Father to you, and you will be my sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” (niv)

Nevertheless, for the sake of David your father, I will not do it during your lifetime. I will tear it out of the hand of your son.Yet I will not tear the whole kingdom from him, but will give him one tribe for the sake of David my servant and for the sake of Jerusalem, which I have chosen.” (niv)

He will call out to me,‘ You are my Father, my God, the Rock my Savior.’And I will appoint him to be my firstborn, the most exalted of the kings of the earth.I will maintain my love to him forever, and my covenant with him will never fail.I will establish his line forever, his throne as long as the heavens endure.“ If his sons forsake my law and do not follow my statutes,if they violate my decrees and fail to keep my commands,I will punish their sin with the rod, their iniquity with flogging;but I will not take my love from him, nor will I ever betray my faithfulness.I will not violate my covenant or alter what my lips have uttered.Once for all, I have sworn by my holiness— and I will not lie to David—that his line will continue forever and his throne endure before me like the sun;it will be established forever like the moon, the faithful witness in the sky.” (niv)

When he does wrong, I will punish him with a rod wielded by men, with floggings inflicted by human hands.But my love will never be taken away from him, as I took it away from Saul, whom I removed from before you.Your house and your kingdom will endure forever before me; your throne will be established forever.’” (niv)

I will give one tribe to his son so that David my servant may always have a lamp before me in Jerusalem, the city where I chose to put my Name. (niv)

The Father loves the Son and has placed everything in his hands. (niv)

A voice came from the cloud, saying,“ This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.” (niv)

He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, (niv)
