As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.

But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.

And it came to pass,[ as] the ark of the covenant of the LORD came to the city of David, that Michal the daughter of Saul looking out at a window saw king David dancing and playing: and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

When David returned home to bless his household, Saul’s daughter Michal came out to meet him.“ How the king of Israel honored himself today!” she said.“ He exposed himself today in the sight of the slave girls of his subjects like a vulgar person would expose himself.”David replied to Michal,“ I was dancing before the Lord who chose me over your father and his whole family to appoint me ruler over the Lord’s people Israel. I will celebrate before the Lord,and I will humble myself even more and humiliate myself. I will be honored by the slave girls you spoke about.”And Saul’s daughter Michal had no child to the day of her death.

When you multiply and increase in the land, in those days”— the Lord’s declaration—“ no one will say any longer,‘ The ark of the Lord’s covenant.’ It will never come to mind, and no one will remember or miss it. It will never again be made.

It contained the gold altar of incense and the ark of the covenant, covered with gold on all sides, in which there was a gold jar containing the manna, Aaron’s staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.

David replied,“ Good, I will make a covenant with you. However, there’s one thing I require of you: Do not appear before me unless you bring Saul’s daughter Michal here when you come to see me.”Then David sent messengers to say to Ish-bosheth son of Saul,“ Give me back my wife, Michal. I was engaged to her for the price of 100 Philistine foreskins.”

Saul sent agents to David’s house to watch for him and kill him in the morning. But his wife Michal warned David,“ If you don’t escape tonight, you will be dead tomorrow!”So she lowered David from the window, and he fled and escaped.Then Michal took the household idol and put it on the bed, placed some goat hair on its head, and covered it with a garment.When Saul sent agents to seize David, Michal said,“ He’s sick.”Saul sent the agents back to see David and said,“ Bring him on his bed so I can kill him.”When the messengers arrived, to their surprise, the household idol was on the bed with some goat hair on its head.Saul asked Michal,“ Why did you deceive me like this? You sent my enemy away, and he has escaped!” She answered him,“ He said to me,‘ Let me go! Why should I kill you?’”

But Saul gave his daughter Michal, David’s wife, to Palti son of Laish, who was from Gallim.

Then the Israelites inquired of the Lord. In those days, the ark of the covenant of God was there,

They set out from the mountain of the Lord on a three-day journey with the ark of the Lord’s covenant traveling ahead of them for those three days to seek a resting place for them.

Then Miriam the prophetess, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand, and all the women followed her with their tambourines and danced.

Thanksgiving will come out of them, a sound of celebration. I will multiply them, and they will not decrease; I will honor them, and they will not be insignificant.

you should tell them,‘ The waters of the Jordan were cut off in front of the ark of the Lord’s covenant. When it crossed the Jordan, the Jordan’s waters were cut off.’ Therefore these stones will always be a memorial for the Israelites.”

But the unbeliever does not welcome what comes from God’s Spirit, because it is foolishness to him; he is not able to understand it since it is evaluated spiritually.

David and his men went out and killed 200 Philistines. He brought their foreskins and presented them as full payment to the king to become his son-in-law. Then Saul gave his daughter Michal to David as his wife.Saul realized that the Lord was with David and that his daughter Michal loved him,

Praise Him with tambourine and dance; praise Him with flute and strings.

“ Take this book of the law and place it beside the ark of the covenant of the Lord your God so that it may remain there as a witness against you.

a time to weep and a time to laugh; a time to mourn and a time to dance;

For I have endured insults because of You, and shame has covered my face.I have become a stranger to my brothers and a foreigner to my mother’s sonsbecause zeal for Your house has consumed me, and the insults of those who insult You have fallen on me.

When the troops returned to the camp, the elders of Israel asked,“ Why did the Lord let us be defeated today by the Philistines? Let’s bring the ark of the Lord’s covenant from Shiloh. Then it will go with us and save us from the hand of our enemies.”

Let them praise His name with dancing and make music to Him with tambourine and lyre.

For if we are out of our mind, it is for God; if we have a sound mind, it is for you.

a sound of joy and gladness, the voice of the groom and the bride, and the voice of those saying, Praise the Lord of Hosts, for the Lord is good; His faithful love endures forever as they bring thank offerings to the temple of the Lord. For I will restore the fortunes of the land as in former times, says the Lord.

But some sneered and said,“ They’re full of new wine!”

You turned my lament into dancing; You removed my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

When David had settled into his palace, he said to Nathan the prophet,“ Look! I am living in a cedar house while the ark of the Lord’s covenant is under tent curtains.”
