As the ark of the covenant of the Lord was entering the City of David, Michal daughter of Saul watched from a window. And when she saw King David dancing and celebrating, she despised him in her heart.

The ark of the covenant of the Lord was brought into the City of David. Saul’s daughter Michal was watching from a window. She saw King David dancing and celebrating. That made her hate him in her heart.

And as the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating, and she despised him in her heart.

But as the Ark of the Lord’s Covenant entered the City of David, Michal, the daughter of Saul, looked down from her window. When she saw King David skipping about and laughing with joy, she was filled with contempt for him.

As the ark of the covenant of the LORD was entering the city of David, Saul’s daughter Michal looked down from the window and saw King David leaping and dancing, and she despised him in her heart.

When the ark of the covenant of the Lord came to the city of David, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out of the window and saw King David dancing and celebrating; and she despised him in her heart.

As the ark of the LORD’s covenant entered the City of David, Michal, Saul’s daughter, looked out the window. When she saw King David jumping and celebrating, she despised him.

As the ark of Yahweh’s covenant came to David’s city, Michal the daughter of Saul looked out at the window, and saw king David dancing and playing; and she despised him in her heart.

大衛回家要給眷屬祝福；掃羅的女兒米甲出來迎接他，說：「以色列王今日在臣僕的婢女眼前露體，如同一個輕賤人無恥露體一樣，有好大的榮耀啊！」大衛對米甲說：「這是在耶和華面前；耶和華已揀選我，廢了你父和你父的全家，立我作耶和華民以色列的君，所以我必在耶和華面前跳舞。我也必更加卑微，自己看為輕賤。你所說的那些婢女，她們倒要尊敬我。」掃羅的女兒米甲，直到死日，沒有生養兒女。

耶和華的約櫃進了大衛城的時候，掃羅的女兒米甲從窗戶裏觀看，見大衛王在耶和華面前踴躍跳舞，心裏就輕視他。

耶和華說：「你們在國中生養眾多；當那些日子，人必不再提說耶和華的約櫃，不追想，不記念，不覺缺少，也不再製造。

有金香爐，有包金的約櫃，櫃裏有盛嗎哪的金罐和亞倫發過芽的杖，並兩塊約版；

大衛說：「好！我與你立約。但有一件，你來見我面的時候，若不將掃羅的女兒米甲帶來，必不得見我的面。」大衛就打發人去見掃羅的兒子伊施波設，說：「你要將我的妻米甲歸還我；她是我從前用一百非利士人的陽皮所聘定的。」

掃羅打發人到大衛的房屋那裏窺探他，要等到天亮殺他。大衛的妻米甲對他說：「你今夜若不逃命，明日你要被殺。」於是米甲將大衛從窗戶裏縋下去，大衛就逃走，躲避了。米甲把家中的神像放在牀上，頭枕在山羊毛裝的枕頭上，用被遮蓋。掃羅打發人去捉拿大衛，米甲說：「他病了。」掃羅又打發人去看大衛，說：「當連牀將他擡來，我好殺他。」使者進去，看見牀上有神像，頭枕在山羊毛裝的枕頭上。掃羅對米甲說：「你為甚麼這樣欺哄我，放我仇敵逃走呢？」米甲回答說：「他對我說：『你放我走，不然我要殺你。』」

掃羅已將他的女兒米甲，就是大衛的妻，給了迦琳人拉億的兒子帕提為妻。

那時，神的約櫃在那裏；亞倫的孫子、以利亞撒的兒子非尼哈侍立在約櫃前。以色列人問耶和華說：「我們當再出去與我們弟兄便雅憫人打仗呢？還是罷兵呢？」耶和華說：「你們當上去，因為明日我必將他們交在你們手中。」

以色列人離開耶和華的山，往前行了三天的路程；耶和華的約櫃在前頭行了三天的路程，為他們尋找安歇的地方。

亞倫的姊姊，女先知米利暗，手裏拿着鼓；眾婦女也跟她出去拿鼓跳舞。

必有感謝和歡樂的聲音從其中發出，我要使他們增多，不致減少；使他們尊榮，不致卑微。

你們就對他們說：『這是因為約旦河的水在耶和華的約櫃前斷絕；約櫃過約旦河的時候，約旦河的水就斷絕了。這些石頭要作以色列人永遠的紀念。』」

然而，屬血氣的人不領會神聖靈的事，反倒以為愚拙，並且不能知道，因為這些事惟有屬靈的人才能看透。

大衛和跟隨他的人起身前往，殺了二百非利士人，將陽皮滿數交給王，為要作王的女婿。於是掃羅將女兒米甲給大衛為妻。掃羅見耶和華與大衛同在，又知道女兒米甲愛大衛，

擊鼓跳舞讚美他！用絲弦的樂器和簫的聲音讚美他！

「將這律法書放在耶和華－你們神的約櫃旁，可以在那裏見證以色列人的不是；

哭有時，笑有時；哀慟有時，跳舞有時；

因我為你的緣故受了辱罵，滿面羞愧。我的弟兄看我為外路人；我的同胞看我為外邦人。因我為你的殿心裏焦急，如同火燒，並且辱罵你人的辱罵都落在我身上。

百姓回到營裏，以色列的長老說：「耶和華今日為何使我們敗在非利士人面前呢？我們不如將耶和華的約櫃從示羅擡到我們這裏來，好在我們中間救我們脫離敵人的手。」

願他們跳舞讚美他的名，擊鼓彈琴歌頌他！

我們若果顛狂，是為神；若果謹守，是為你們。

必再聽見有歡喜和快樂的聲音、新郎和新婦的聲音，並聽見有人說：要稱謝萬軍之耶和華，因耶和華本為善；他的慈愛永遠長存！又有奉感謝祭到耶和華殿中之人的聲音；因為我必使這地被擄的人歸回，和起初一樣。這是耶和華說的。」

還有人譏誚說：「他們無非是新酒灌滿了。」

你已將我的哀哭變為跳舞，將我的麻衣脫去，給我披上喜樂，

大衛住在自己宮中，對先知拿單說：「看哪，我住在香柏木的宮中，耶和華的約櫃反在幔子裏。」
