It was because you, the Levites, did not bring it up the first time that the Lord our God broke out in anger against us. We did not inquire of him about how to do it in the prescribed way.”

Remember when the anger of the Lord our God broke out against us? That’s because it wasn’t you Levites who tried to carry up the ark the first time. We didn’t ask the Lord how to do it in the way the law requires.”

Because you did not carry it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not seek him according to the rule.”

Because you Levites did not carry the Ark the first time, the anger of the Lord our God burst out against us. We failed to ask God how to move it properly.”

For the LORD our God burst out in anger against us because you Levites were not with us the first time, for we didn’t inquire of him about the proper procedures.”

Because you did not carry it at the first, the Lord our God made an outburst against us, since we did not seek Him according to the ordinance.”

For because you did not do it the first time, the Lord our God broke out against us, because we did not consult Him about the proper order.”

For because ye bare it not at the first, Jehovah our God made a breach upon us, for that we sought him not according to the ordinance.

The first time you did not carry it; that is why the LORD God attacked us, because we did not ask him about the proper way to carry it.”

They set God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house that was on the hill; and Uzzah and Ahio, the sons of Abinadab, drove the new cart.

Let all things be done decently and in order.

Now I praise you, brothers, that you remember me in all things, and hold firm the traditions, even as I delivered them to you.

Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzzah; and God struck him there for his error; and he died there by God’s ark.David was displeased, because Yahweh had broken out against Uzzah; and he called that place Perez Uzzah, to this day.

But to the sons of Kohath he gave none, because the service of the sanctuary belonged to them; they carried it on their shoulders.

He who conceals his sins doesn’t prosper, but whoever confesses and renounces them finds mercy.

They carried God’s ark on a new cart, and brought it out of Abinadab’s house; and Uzza and Ahio drove the cart.David and all Israel played before God with all their might, even with songs, with harps, with stringed instruments, with tambourines, with cymbals, and with trumpets.When they came to Chidon’s threshing floor, Uzza put out his hand to hold the ark; for the oxen stumbled.Yahweh’s anger burned against Uzza, and he struck him, because he put his hand on the ark; and he died there before God.David was displeased, because Yahweh had broken out against Uzza. He called that place Perez Uzza, to this day.

“ When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it; but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. The sons of Kohath shall carry these things belonging to the Tent of Meeting.

For there were many in the assembly who had not sanctified themselves: therefore the Levites were in charge of killing the Passovers for everyone who was not clean, to sanctify them to Yahweh.For a multitude of the people, even many of Ephraim, Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, had not cleansed themselves, yet they ate the Passover other than the way it is written. For Hezekiah had prayed for them, saying,“ May the good Yahweh pardon everyonewho sets his heart to seek God, Yahweh, the God of his fathers, even if they aren’t clean according to the purification of the sanctuary.”Yahweh listened to Hezekiah, and healed the people.
