A King’s Prayer
Of David.
who trains my hands for battle
and my fingers for warfare.144:1 Ps 18:34

my stronghold and my deliverer.

Lord, what is a human that you care for him,
4A human is like a breath;
Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.144:5 Ps 104:32
6Flash your lightning and scatter the foe;144:6 Lit scatter them
rescue me from deep water, and set me free
from the grasp of foreigners144:7 Ps 69:14
8whose mouths speak lies,
9God, I will sing a new song to you;
10the one who gives victory to kings,
who frees his servant David

whose mouths speak lies,
12Then our sons will be like plants
nurtured in their youth,
our daughters, like corner pillars

13Our storehouses will be full,

our flocks will increase by thousands

There will be no breach in the walls,
no going into captivity,144:14 Or be no plague, no miscarriage
15Happy are the people with such blessings.
