  • James 2:21 - Was our father Abraham not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar?
  • James 2:22 - You see that faith was working with his works, and as a result of the works, faith was perfected;
  • James 2:23 - and the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “And Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness,” and he was called a friend of God.
  • James 2:24 - You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.
  • James 2:25 - In the same way, was Rahab the prostitute not justified by works also when she received the messengers and sent them out by another way?
  • Romans 2:25 - For indeed circumcision is of value if you practice the Law; but if you are a violator of the Law, your circumcision has turned into uncircumcision.
  • Galatians 2:16 - nevertheless, knowing that a person is not justified by works of the Law but through faith in Christ Jesus, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, so that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the Law; since by works of the Law no flesh will be justified.
  • James 1:22 - But prove yourselves doers of the word, and not just hearers who deceive themselves.
  • James 1:23 - For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks at his natural face in a mirror;
  • James 1:24 - for once he has looked at himself and gone away, he has immediately forgotten what kind of person he was.
  • James 1:25 - But one who has looked intently at the perfect law, the law of freedom, and has continued in it, not having become a forgetful hearer but an active doer, this person will be blessed in what he does.
