Romans 5:20 - The law was given so that sin would increase. But where sin increased, God’s grace increased even more.
Romans 5:21 - Sin ruled and brought death. But grace rules in the lives of those who are right with God. The grace of God brings eternal life. That’s because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done.
John 9:40 - Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this. They asked, “What? Are we blind too?”
Romans 5:6 - At just the right time Christ died for ungodly people. He died for us when we had no power of our own.
Romans 5:7 - It is unusual for anyone to die for a godly person. Maybe someone would be willing to die for a good person.
Romans 5:8 - But here is how God has shown his love for us. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
1 Corinthians 6:9 - Don’t you know that people who do wrong will not receive God’s kingdom? Don’t be fooled. Those who commit sexual sins will not receive the kingdom. Neither will those who worship statues of gods or commit adultery. Neither will men who sleep with other men.
1 Corinthians 6:10 - Neither will thieves or those who always want more and more. Neither will those who are often drunk or tell lies or cheat. People who live like that will not receive God’s kingdom.
1 Corinthians 6:11 - Some of you used to do those things. But your sins were washed away. You were made holy. You were made right with God. All of this was done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was also done by the Spirit of our God.
Luke 15:29 - But he answered his father, ‘Look! All these years I’ve worked like a slave for you. I have always obeyed your orders. You never gave me even a young goat so I could celebrate with my friends.
Isaiah 55:7 - Let those who are evil stop doing evil things. And let them quit thinking evil thoughts. Let them turn to the Lord. The Lord will show them his tender love. Let them turn to our God. He is always ready to forgive.
Titus 3:3 - At one time we too acted like fools. We didn’t obey God. We were tricked. We were controlled by all kinds of desires and pleasures. We were full of evil. We wanted what belongs to others. People hated us, and we hated one another.
Titus 3:4 - But the kindness and love of God our Savior appeared.
Titus 3:5 - He saved us. It wasn’t because of the good things we had done. It was because of his mercy. He saved us by washing away our sins. We were born again. The Holy Spirit gave us new life.
Titus 3:6 - God poured out the Spirit on us freely. That’s because of what Jesus Christ our Savior has done.
Titus 3:7 - His grace made us right with God. So now we have received the hope of eternal life as God’s children.
Luke 19:10 - The Son of Man came to look for the lost and save them.”
1 Timothy 1:15 - Here is a saying that you can trust. It should be accepted completely. Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the worst sinner of all.
1 Timothy 1:16 - But for that very reason, God showed me mercy. And I am the worst of sinners. He showed me mercy so that Christ Jesus could show that he is very patient. I was an example for those who would come to believe in him. Then they would receive eternal life.
Luke 15:7 - I tell you, it will be the same in heaven. There will be great joy when one sinner turns away from sin. Yes, there will be more joy than for 99 godly people who do not need to turn away from their sins.
Luke 5:31 - Jesus answered them, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor. Sick people do.
Luke 5:32 - I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to turn away from their sins.”
Matthew 9:12 - Jesus heard this. So he said, “Those who are healthy don’t need a doctor. Sick people do.
Matthew 9:13 - Go and learn what this means, ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ ( Hosea 6:6 ) I have not come to get those who think they are right with God to follow me. I have come to get sinners to follow me.”
