Isaiah 1:12 - When you enter my presence, do you actually think I want this – animals trampling on my courtyards?
Isaiah 1:13 - Do not bring any more meaningless offerings; I consider your incense detestable! You observe new moon festivals, Sabbaths, and convocations, but I cannot tolerate sin-stained celebrations!
Isaiah 1:14 - I hate your new moon festivals and assemblies; they are a burden that I am tired of carrying.
Isaiah 1:15 - When you spread out your hands in prayer, I look the other way; when you offer your many prayers, I do not listen, because your hands are covered with blood.

Psalms 50:8 - I am not condemning you because of your sacrifices, or because of your burnt sacrifices that you continually offer me.

1 Corinthians 13:1 - If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but I do not have love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
1 Corinthians 13:2 - And if I have prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith so that I can remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
1 Corinthians 13:3 - If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
Matthew 9:13 - Go and learn what this saying means: ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners.”
Matthew 12:7 - If you had known what this means: ‘I want mercy and not sacrifice,’ you would not have condemned the innocent.
1 Samuel 15:22 - Then Samuel said, “Does the Lord take pleasure in burnt offerings and sacrifices as much as he does in obedience? Certainly, obedience is better than sacrifice; paying attention is better than the fat of rams.
Hosea 6:6 - For I delight in faithfulness, not simply in sacrifice; I delight in acknowledging God, not simply in whole burnt offerings.
Micah 6:6 - With what should I enter the Lord’s presence? With what should I bow before the sovereign God? Should I enter his presence with burnt offerings, with year-old calves?

Micah 6:8 - He has told you, O man, what is good, and what the Lord really wants from you: He wants you to promote justice, to be faithful, and to live obediently before your God.
