  • Psalms 13:1 - O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way?
  • Psalms 13:2 - How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? How long will my enemy have the upper hand?
  • Psalms 13:3 - Turn and answer me, O Lord my God! Restore the sparkle to my eyes, or I will die.

  • Isaiah 30:19 - O people of Zion, who live in Jerusalem, you will weep no more. He will be gracious if you ask for help. He will surely respond to the sound of your cries.
  • Isaiah 25:8 - He will swallow up death forever! The Sovereign Lord will wipe away all tears. He will remove forever all insults and mockery against his land and people. The Lord has spoken!
  • Isaiah 66:10 - “Rejoice with Jerusalem! Be glad with her, all you who love her and all you who mourn for her.
  • Isaiah 35:10 - Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.

  • James 1:12 - God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterward they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
  • 2 Corinthians 1:4 - He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
  • 2 Corinthians 1:5 - For the more we suffer for Christ, the more God will shower us with his comfort through Christ.
  • 2 Corinthians 1:6 - Even when we are weighed down with troubles, it is for your comfort and salvation! For when we ourselves are comforted, we will certainly comfort you. Then you can patiently endure the same things we suffer.
  • 2 Corinthians 1:7 - We are confident that as you share in our sufferings, you will also share in the comfort God gives us.
  • Psalms 126:5 - Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
  • Psalms 126:6 - They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.
  • Isaiah 51:11 - Those who have been ransomed by the Lord will return. They will enter Jerusalem singing, crowned with everlasting joy. Sorrow and mourning will disappear, and they will be filled with joy and gladness.
  • Isaiah 51:12 - “I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear?
  • Luke 6:21 - God blesses you who are hungry now, for you will be satisfied. God blesses you who weep now, for in due time you will laugh.
  • Isaiah 57:18 - I have seen what they do, but I will heal them anyway! I will lead them. I will comfort those who mourn,
  • John 16:20 - I tell you the truth, you will weep and mourn over what is going to happen to me, but the world will rejoice. You will grieve, but your grief will suddenly turn to wonderful joy.
  • John 16:21 - It will be like a woman suffering the pains of labor. When her child is born, her anguish gives way to joy because she has brought a new baby into the world.
  • John 16:22 - So you have sorrow now, but I will see you again; then you will rejoice, and no one can rob you of that joy.
  • Isaiah 61:2 - He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies.
  • Isaiah 61:3 - To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory.
  • 2 Corinthians 7:9 - Now I am glad I sent it, not because it hurt you, but because the pain caused you to repent and change your ways. It was the kind of sorrow God wants his people to have, so you were not harmed by us in any way.
  • 2 Corinthians 7:10 - For the kind of sorrow God wants us to experience leads us away from sin and results in salvation. There’s no regret for that kind of sorrow. But worldly sorrow, which lacks repentance, results in spiritual death.
  • Revelation 21:4 - He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.”
