  • Ezekiel 20:47 - and say to the scrub land of the Negev, ‘Hear the word of the Lord: This is what the sovereign Lord says: Look here, I am about to start a fire in you, and it will devour every green tree and every dry tree in you. The flaming fire will not be extinguished, and the whole surface of the ground from the Negev to the north will be scorched by it.
  • Ezekiel 20:48 - And everyone will see that I, the Lord, have burned it; it will not be extinguished.’”
  • Hosea 13:3 - Therefore they will disappear like the morning mist, like early morning dew that evaporates, like chaff that is blown away from a threshing floor, like smoke that disappears through an open window.
  • Isaiah 1:31 - The powerful will be like a thread of yarn, their deeds like a spark; both will burn together, and no one will put out the fire.

  • Mark 9:47 - If your eye causes you to sin, tear it out! It is better to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell,
  • Mark 9:48 - where their worm never dies and the fire is never quenched.
  • Isaiah 66:24 - “They will go out and observe the corpses of those who rebelled against me, for the maggots that eat them will not die, and the fire that consumes them will not die out. All people will find the sight abhorrent.”
  • Jeremiah 15:7 - The Lord continued, “In every town in the land I will purge them like straw blown away by the wind. I will destroy my people. I will kill off their children. I will do so because they did not change their behavior.
  • Isaiah 17:13 - Though these people make an uproar as loud as the roaring of powerful waves, when he shouts at them, they will flee to a distant land, driven before the wind like dead weeds on the hills, or like dead thistles before a strong gale.

  • Malachi 3:2 - Who can endure the day of his coming? Who can keep standing when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire, like a launderer’s soap.
  • Malachi 3:3 - He will act like a refiner and purifier of silver and will cleanse the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then they will offer the Lord a proper offering.
  • Jeremiah 7:20 - So,” the Lord God says, “my raging fury will be poured out on this land. It will be poured out on human beings and animals, on trees and crops. And it will burn like a fire which cannot be extinguished.”
  • Matthew 13:41 - The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will gather from his kingdom everything that causes sin as well as all lawbreakers.

  • Malachi 4:1 - (3:19) “For indeed the day is coming, burning like a furnace, and all the arrogant evildoers will be chaff. The coming day will burn them up,” says the Lord who rules over all. “It will not leave even a root or branch.
