Hebrews 5:7 - During his earthly life Christ offered both requests and supplications, with loud cries and tears, to the one who was able to save him from death and he was heard because of his devotion.
Psalms 69:13 - O Lord, may you hear my prayer and be favorably disposed to me! O God, because of your great loyal love, answer me with your faithful deliverance!
Psalms 69:14 - Rescue me from the mud! Don’t let me sink! Deliver me from those who hate me, from the deep water!
Psalms 69:15 - Don’t let the current overpower me! Don’t let the deep swallow me up! Don’t let the pit devour me!
Luke 22:39 - Then Jesus went out and made his way, as he customarily did, to the Mount of Olives, and the disciples followed him.
Luke 22:40 - When he came to the place, he said to them, “Pray that you will not fall into temptation.”
Luke 22:41 - He went away from them about a stone’s throw, knelt down, and prayed,
Luke 22:42 - “Father, if you are willing, take this cup away from me. Yet not my will but yours be done.” [
Luke 22:43 - Then an angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him.
Luke 22:44 - And in his anguish he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground.]
Luke 22:45 - When he got up from prayer, he came to the disciples and found them sleeping, exhausted from grief.
Luke 22:46 - So he said to them, “Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you will not fall into temptation!”
Matthew 26:42 - He went away a second time and prayed, “My Father, if this cup cannot be taken away unless I drink it, your will must be done.”
Matthew 26:39 - Going a little farther, he threw himself down with his face to the ground and prayed, “My Father, if possible, let this cup pass from me! Yet not what I will, but what you will.”
