Mark 15:30 - Well then, save yourself and come down from the cross!”
Mark 15:31 - The leading priests and teachers of religious law also mocked Jesus. “He saved others,” they scoffed, “but he can’t save himself!
Psalms 35:16 - They mock me and call me names; they snarl at me.
Psalms 22:7 - Everyone who sees me mocks me. They sneer and shake their heads, saying,
Psalms 22:8 - “Is this the one who relies on the Lord? Then let the Lord save him! If the Lord loves him so much, let the Lord rescue him!”
Luke 23:1 - Then the entire council took Jesus to Pilate, the Roman governor.
Luke 23:2 - They began to state their case: “This man has been leading our people astray by telling them not to pay their taxes to the Roman government and by claiming he is the Messiah, a king.”
Luke 23:3 - So Pilate asked him, “Are you the king of the Jews?” Jesus replied, “You have said it.”
Luke 23:4 - Pilate turned to the leading priests and to the crowd and said, “I find nothing wrong with this man!”
Luke 23:5 - Then they became insistent. “But he is causing riots by his teaching wherever he goes—all over Judea, from Galilee to Jerusalem!”
John 18:28 - Jesus’ trial before Caiaphas ended in the early hours of the morning. Then he was taken to the headquarters of the Roman governor. His accusers didn’t go inside because it would defile them, and they wouldn’t be allowed to celebrate the Passover.
John 18:29 - So Pilate, the governor, went out to them and asked, “What is your charge against this man?”
John 18:30 - “We wouldn’t have handed him over to you if he weren’t a criminal!” they retorted.
John 18:31 - “Then take him away and judge him by your own law,” Pilate told them. “Only the Romans are permitted to execute someone,” the Jewish leaders replied.
John 18:32 - (This fulfilled Jesus’ prediction about the way he would die. )
John 18:33 - Then Pilate went back into his headquarters and called for Jesus to be brought to him. “Are you the king of the Jews?” he asked him.
John 18:34 - Jesus replied, “Is this your own question, or did others tell you about me?”
John 18:35 - “Am I a Jew?” Pilate retorted. “Your own people and their leading priests brought you to me for trial. Why? What have you done?”
John 18:36 - Jesus answered, “My Kingdom is not an earthly kingdom. If it were, my followers would fight to keep me from being handed over to the Jewish leaders. But my Kingdom is not of this world.”
John 18:37 - Pilate said, “So you are a king?” Jesus responded, “You say I am a king. Actually, I was born and came into the world to testify to the truth. All who love the truth recognize that what I say is true.”
John 18:38 - “What is truth?” Pilate asked. Then he went out again to the people and told them, “He is not guilty of any crime.
Acts of the Apostles 3:13 - For it is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob—the God of all our ancestors—who has brought glory to his servant Jesus by doing this. This is the same Jesus whom you handed over and rejected before Pilate, despite Pilate’s decision to release him.
Acts of the Apostles 3:14 - You rejected this holy, righteous one and instead demanded the release of a murderer.

Matthew 27:2 - Then they bound him, led him away, and took him to Pilate, the Roman governor.

Matthew 27:5 - Then Judas threw the silver coins down in the Temple and went out and hanged himself.
Matthew 27:6 - The leading priests picked up the coins. “It wouldn’t be right to put this money in the Temple treasury,” they said, “since it was payment for murder.”
Matthew 27:7 - After some discussion they finally decided to buy the potter’s field, and they made it into a cemetery for foreigners.
Matthew 27:8 - That is why the field is still called the Field of Blood.
Matthew 27:9 - This fulfilled the prophecy of Jeremiah that says, “They took the thirty pieces of silver— the price at which he was valued by the people of Israel,
Matthew 27:10 - and purchased the potter’s field, as the Lord directed. ”
Acts of the Apostles 21:11 - He came over, took Paul’s belt, and bound his own feet and hands with it. Then he said, “The Holy Spirit declares, ‘So shall the owner of this belt be bound by the Jewish leaders in Jerusalem and turned over to the Gentiles.’”
Isaiah 26:19 - But those who die in the Lord will live; their bodies will rise again! Those who sleep in the earth will rise up and sing for joy! For your life-giving light will fall like dew on your people in the place of the dead!

Matthew 27:30 - And they spit on him and grabbed the stick and struck him on the head with it.
Matthew 27:31 - When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified.
Acts of the Apostles 2:23 - But God knew what would happen, and his prearranged plan was carried out when Jesus was betrayed. With the help of lawless Gentiles, you nailed him to a cross and killed him.

Mark 15:20 - When they were finally tired of mocking him, they took off the purple robe and put his own clothes on him again. Then they led him away to be crucified.
Matthew 16:21 - From then on Jesus began to tell his disciples plainly that it was necessary for him to go to Jerusalem, and that he would suffer many terrible things at the hands of the elders, the leading priests, and the teachers of religious law. He would be killed, but on the third day he would be raised from the dead.
