Acts 8:5 - Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them.
Acts 8:6 - And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did.
Acts 8:7 - For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.
Acts 8:8 - And there was great joy in that city.
Acts 8:9 - But there was a certain man called Simon, who previously practiced sorcery in the city and astonished the people of Samaria, claiming that he was someone great,
Acts 8:10 - to whom they all gave heed, from the least to the greatest, saying, “This man is the great power of God.”
Acts 8:11 - And they heeded him because he had astonished them with his sorceries for a long time.
Acts 8:12 - But when they believed Philip as he preached the things concerning the kingdom of God and the name of Jesus Christ, both men and women were baptized.
Acts 8:13 - Then Simon himself also believed; and when he was baptized he continued with Philip, and was amazed, seeing the miracles and signs which were done.
Acts 8:14 - Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them,
Acts 8:15 - who, when they had come down, prayed for them that they might receive the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:16 - For as yet He had fallen upon none of them. They had only been baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
Acts 8:17 - Then they laid hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
Acts 8:18 - And when Simon saw that through the laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Spirit was given, he offered them money,
Acts 8:19 - saying, “Give me this power also, that anyone on whom I lay hands may receive the Holy Spirit.”
Acts 8:20 - But Peter said to him, “Your money perish with you, because you thought that the gift of God could be purchased with money!
Acts 8:21 - You have neither part nor portion in this matter, for your heart is not right in the sight of God.
Acts 8:22 - Repent therefore of this your wickedness, and pray God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.
Acts 8:23 - For I see that you are poisoned by bitterness and bound by iniquity.”
Acts 8:24 - Then Simon answered and said, “Pray to the Lord for me, that none of the things which you have spoken may come upon me.”
Acts 8:25 - So when they had testified and preached the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem, preaching the gospel in many villages of the Samaritans.
Luke 9:52 - and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him.

2 Kings 17:27 - Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, “Send there one of the priests whom you brought from there; let him go and dwell there, and let him teach them the rituals of the God of the land.”
2 Kings 17:28 - Then one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and dwelt in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear the Lord.
2 Kings 17:29 - However every nation continued to make gods of its own, and put them in the shrines on the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in the cities where they dwelt.
2 Kings 17:30 - The men of Babylon made Succoth Benoth, the men of Cuth made Nergal, the men of Hamath made Ashima,
2 Kings 17:31 - and the Avites made Nibhaz and Tartak; and the Sepharvites burned their children in fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.
2 Kings 17:32 - So they feared the Lord, and from every class they appointed for themselves priests of the high places, who sacrificed for them in the shrines of the high places.
2 Kings 17:33 - They feared the Lord, yet served their own gods—according to the rituals of the nations from among whom they were carried away.
2 Kings 17:34 - To this day they continue practicing the former rituals; they do not fear the Lord, nor do they follow their statutes or their ordinances, or the law and commandment which the Lord had commanded the children of Jacob, whom He named Israel,
2 Kings 17:35 - with whom the Lord had made a covenant and charged them, saying: “You shall not fear other gods, nor bow down to them nor serve them nor sacrifice to them;
2 Kings 17:36 - but the Lord, who brought you up from the land of Egypt with great power and an outstretched arm, Him you shall fear, Him you shall worship, and to Him you shall offer sacrifice.
2 Kings 17:37 - And the statutes, the ordinances, the law, and the commandment which He wrote for you, you shall be careful to observe forever; you shall not fear other gods.
2 Kings 17:38 - And the covenant that I have made with you, you shall not forget, nor shall you fear other gods.
2 Kings 17:39 - But the Lord your God you shall fear; and He will deliver you from the hand of all your enemies.”
2 Kings 17:40 - However they did not obey, but they followed their former rituals.
2 Kings 17:41 - So these nations feared the Lord, yet served their carved images; also their children and their children’s children have continued doing as their fathers did, even to this day.
Acts 8:1 - Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles.
Romans 15:8 - Now I say that Jesus Christ has become a servant to the circumcision for the truth of God, to confirm the promises made to the fathers,
Romans 15:9 - and that the Gentiles might glorify God for His mercy, as it is written: “For this reason I will confess to You among the Gentiles, And sing to Your name.”

John 4:24 - God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”
John 4:9 - Then the woman of Samaria said to Him, “How is it that You, being a Jew, ask a drink from me, a Samaritan woman?” For Jews have no dealings with Samaritans.
