  • Deuteronomy 28:45 - “So all these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.

  • Isaiah 30:12 - Therefore this is what the Holy One of Israel says: “Since you have rejected this word And have put your trust in oppression and crookedness, and have relied on them,
  • Isaiah 30:13 - Therefore this wrongdoing will be to you Like a breach about to fall, A bulge in a high wall, Whose collapse comes suddenly in an instant,
  • Haggai 1:6 - You have sown much, only to harvest little; you eat, but there is not enough to be satisfied; you drink, but there is not enough to become drunk; you put on clothing, but there is not enough for anyone to get warm; and the one who earns, earns wages to put into a money bag full of holes.”
  • Isaiah 47:7 - Yet you said, ‘I will be a queen forever.’ These things you did not consider Nor remember the outcome of them.
  • Zechariah 7:11 - But they refused to pay attention, and turned a stubborn shoulder and plugged their ears from hearing.
  • Zechariah 7:12 - They also made their hearts as hard as a diamond so that they could not hear the Law and the words which the Lord of armies had sent by His Spirit through the former prophets; therefore great wrath came from the Lord of armies.
  • Zechariah 7:13 - And just as He called and they would not listen, so they called and I would not listen,” says the Lord of armies;
  • Zechariah 7:14 - “but I scattered them with a storm wind among all the nations whom they did not know. So the land was desolated behind them so that no one went back and forth, since they made the pleasant land desolate.”
  • Haggai 2:16 - from that time when one came to a grain heap of twenty measures, there would be only ten; and when one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there would be only twenty.
  • Haggai 2:17 - I struck you and every work of your hands with scorching wind, mildew, and hail; yet you did not come back to Me,’ declares the Lord.
  • Zechariah 1:3 - Therefore say to them, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “Return to Me,” declares the Lord of armies, “ that I may return to you,” says the Lord of armies.
  • Zechariah 1:4 - “Do not be like your fathers, to whom the former prophets proclaimed, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies says: “Return now from your evil ways and from your evil deeds.” ’ But they did not listen or pay attention to Me,” declares the Lord.
  • Zechariah 1:5 - “Your fathers, where are they? And the prophets, do they live forever?
  • Zechariah 1:6 - But did My words and My statutes, which I commanded My servants the prophets, not overtake your fathers? Then they repented and said, ‘Just as the Lord of armies planned to do to us in accordance with our ways and our deeds, so He has dealt with us.’ ” ’ ”
  • Jeremiah 13:16 - Give glory to the Lord your God Before He brings darkness And before your feet stumble On the mountains in the dark, And while you are hoping for light He makes it into gloom, And turns it into thick darkness.
  • Jeremiah 13:17 - But if you do not listen to it, My soul will weep in secret for such pride; And my eyes will shed And stream down tears, Because the flock of the Lord has been taken captive.
  • Deuteronomy 28:15 - “But it shall come about, if you do not obey the Lord your God, to be careful to follow all His commandments and His statutes which I am commanding you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
  • Deuteronomy 28:16 - “Cursed will you be in the city, and cursed will you be in the country.
  • Deuteronomy 28:17 - “Cursed will be your basket and your kneading bowl.
  • Deuteronomy 28:18 - “Cursed will be the children of your womb, the produce of your ground, the newborn of your herd, and the offspring of your flock.
  • Deuteronomy 28:19 - “Cursed will you be when you come in, and cursed will you be when you go out.
  • Deuteronomy 28:20 - “The Lord will send against you curses, panic, and rebuke, in everything you undertake to do, until you are destroyed and until you perish quickly, on account of the evil of your deeds, because you have abandoned Me.
  • Deuteronomy 28:21 - The Lord will make the plague cling to you until He has eliminated you from the land where you are entering to take possession of it.
  • Deuteronomy 28:22 - The Lord will strike you with consumption, inflammation, fever, feverish heat, and with the sword, with blight, and with mildew, and they will pursue you until you perish.
  • Deuteronomy 28:23 - The heaven which is over your head shall be bronze, and the earth which is under you, iron.
  • Deuteronomy 28:24 - The Lord will make the rain of your land powder and dust; from heaven it shall come down on you until you are destroyed.
  • Deuteronomy 28:25 - “The Lord will cause you to be defeated by your enemies; you will go out one way against them, but you will flee seven ways from their presence, and you will be an example of terror to all the kingdoms of the earth.
  • Deuteronomy 28:26 - Your dead bodies will serve as food for all birds of the sky and for the animals of the earth, and there will be no one to frighten them away.
  • Deuteronomy 28:27 - “The Lord will strike you with the boils of Egypt and with tumors, the festering rash, and with scabies, from which you cannot be healed.
  • Deuteronomy 28:28 - The Lord will strike you with insanity, blindness, and with confusion of mind;
  • Deuteronomy 28:29 - and you will be groping about at noon, just as a person who is blind gropes in the darkness, and you will not be successful in your ways; but you will only be oppressed and robbed all the time, with no one to save you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:30 - You will betroth a woman, but another man will violate her; you will build a house, but you will not live in it; you will plant a vineyard, but you will not make use of its fruit.
  • Deuteronomy 28:31 - Your ox will be slaughtered before your eyes, but you will not eat of it; your donkey will be snatched away from you, and will not be restored to you; your sheep will be given to your enemies, and you will have no one to save you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:32 - Your sons and your daughters will be given to another people, while your eyes look on and long for them constantly; but there will be nothing you can do.
  • Deuteronomy 28:33 - A people whom you do not know will eat the produce of your ground and every product of your labor, and you will never be anything but oppressed and mistreated continually.
  • Deuteronomy 28:34 - You will also be driven insane by the sight of what you see.
  • Deuteronomy 28:35 - The Lord will strike you on the knees and thighs with severe boils from which you cannot be healed, and strike you from the sole of your foot to the top of your head.
  • Deuteronomy 28:36 - The Lord will bring you and your king, whom you appoint over you, to a nation that neither you nor your fathers have known, and there you shall serve other gods, made of wood and stone.
  • Deuteronomy 28:37 - And you will become an object of horror, a song of mockery, and an object of taunting among all the peoples where the Lord drives you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:38 - “You will bring out a great amount of seed to the field, but you will gather in little, because the locust will devour it.
  • Deuteronomy 28:39 - You will plant and cultivate vineyards, but you will neither drink of the wine nor bring in the harvest, because the worm will eat it.
  • Deuteronomy 28:40 - You will have olive trees throughout your territory but you will not anoint yourself with the oil, because your olives will drop off prematurely.
  • Deuteronomy 28:41 - You will father sons and daughters but they will not remain yours, because they will go into captivity.
  • Deuteronomy 28:42 - The cricket will take possession of all your trees and the produce of your ground.
  • Deuteronomy 28:43 - The stranger who is among you will rise above you higher and higher, and you will go down lower and lower.
  • Deuteronomy 28:44 - He will lend to you, but you will not lend to him; he will be the head, and you will be the tail.
  • Deuteronomy 28:45 - “So all these curses shall come upon you and pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you would not obey the Lord your God by keeping His commandments and His statutes which He commanded you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:46 - And they will become a sign and a wonder against you and your descendants forever.
  • Deuteronomy 28:47 - “Since you did not serve the Lord your God with joy and a cheerful heart, in gratitude for the abundance of all things,
  • Deuteronomy 28:48 - you will serve your enemies whom the Lord will send against you, in hunger, thirst, nakedness, and devoid of all things; and He will put an iron yoke on your neck until He has destroyed you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:49 - “The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as the eagle swoops down; a nation whose language you will not understand,
  • Deuteronomy 28:50 - a nation with a defiant attitude, who will have no respect for the old, nor show favor to the young.
  • Deuteronomy 28:51 - Furthermore, it will eat the offspring of your herd and the produce of your ground until you are destroyed; a nation that will leave you no grain, new wine, or oil, nor the newborn of your cattle or the young of your flock, until they have eliminated you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:52 - And it will besiege you in all your towns until your high and fortified walls in which you trusted come down throughout your land, and it will besiege you in all your towns throughout your land which the Lord your God has given you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:53 - Then you will eat the offspring of your own body, the flesh of your sons and of your daughters whom the Lord your God has given you, during the siege and the hardship by which your enemy will oppress you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:54 - The man who is refined and very delicate among you will be hostile toward his brother, toward the wife he cherishes, and toward the rest of his children who are left,
  • Deuteronomy 28:55 - so that he will not give even one of them any of the flesh of his children which he will eat, since he has nothing else left, during the siege and the hardship by which your enemy will oppress you in all your towns.
  • Deuteronomy 28:56 - The refined and delicate woman among you, who would not venture to set the sole of her foot on the ground because of her delicateness and tenderness, will be hostile toward the husband she cherishes and toward her son and daughter,
  • Deuteronomy 28:57 - and toward her afterbirth that comes from between her legs, and toward her children to whom she gives birth, because she will eat them secretly for lack of anything else, during the siege and the hardship with which your enemy will oppress you in your towns.
  • Deuteronomy 28:58 - “If you are not careful to follow all the words of this Law that are written in this book, to fear this honored and awesome name, the Lord your God,
  • Deuteronomy 28:59 - then the Lord will bring extraordinary plagues on you and your descendants, severe and lasting plagues, and miserable and chronic sicknesses.
  • Deuteronomy 28:60 - And He will bring back on you every disease of Egypt of which you were afraid, and they will cling to you.
  • Deuteronomy 28:61 - Also every sickness and every plague, which are not written in the book of this Law, the Lord will bring on you until you are destroyed.
  • Deuteronomy 28:62 - Then you will be left few in number, whereas you were as numerous as the stars of heaven, because you did not obey the Lord your God.
  • Deuteronomy 28:63 - And it will come about that, just as the Lord rejoiced over you to be good to you, and make you numerous, so will the Lord rejoice over you to wipe you out and destroy you; and you will be torn away from the land which you are entering to possess.
  • Deuteronomy 28:64 - Furthermore, the Lord will scatter you among all the peoples, from one end of the earth to the other; and there you will serve other gods, made of wood and stone, which you and your fathers have not known.
  • Deuteronomy 28:65 - Among those nations you will find no peace, and there will be no resting place for the sole of your foot; but there the Lord will give you a trembling heart, failing of eyes, and despair of soul.
  • Deuteronomy 28:66 - So your lives will be hanging in doubt before you; and you will be terrified night and day, and have no assurance of your life.
  • Deuteronomy 28:67 - In the morning you will say, ‘If only it were evening!’ And at evening you will say, ‘If only it were morning!’ because of the terror of your heart which you fear, and the sight of your eyes which you will see.
  • Deuteronomy 28:68 - And the Lord will bring you back to Egypt in ships, by the way about which I said to you, ‘You will never see it again!’ And there you will offer yourselves for sale to your enemies as male and female slaves, but there will be no buyer.”
  • Revelation 16:9 - And the people were scorched with fierce heat; and they blasphemed the name of God who has the power over these plagues, and they did not repent so as to give Him glory.
  • Joshua 7:19 - Then Joshua said to Achan, “My son, I implore you, give glory to the Lord, the God of Israel, and give praise to Him; and tell me now what you have done. Do not hide it from me.”
  • Deuteronomy 30:17 - But if your heart turns away and you will not obey, but allow yourself to be led astray and you worship other gods and serve them,
  • Deuteronomy 30:18 - I declare to you today that you will certainly perish. You will not prolong your days in the land where you are crossing the Jordan to enter and take possession of it.
  • Jeremiah 25:4 - And the Lord has sent to you all His servants the prophets again and again, but you have not listened nor inclined your ear to hear,
  • Jeremiah 25:5 - saying, ‘Turn now, everyone from his evil way and from the evil of your deeds, and live on the land which the Lord has given to you and your forefathers forever and ever;
  • Jeremiah 25:6 - and do not follow other gods to serve them and to worship them, and do not provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands, then I will do you no harm.’
  • Jeremiah 25:7 - Yet you have not listened to Me,” declares the Lord, “in order to provoke Me to anger with the work of your hands to your own harm.
  • Jeremiah 25:8 - “Therefore this is what the Lord of armies says: ‘Because you have not obeyed My words,
  • Jeremiah 25:9 - behold, I will send and take all the families of the north,’ declares the Lord, ‘and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and will bring them against this land and against its inhabitants and against all these surrounding nations; and I will completely destroy them and make them an object of horror and hissing, and an everlasting place of ruins.
  • Hosea 4:7 - The more they multiplied, the more they sinned against Me; I will change their glory into shame.
  • Hosea 4:8 - They feed on the sin of My people, And long for their wrongdoing.
  • Hosea 4:9 - And it will be, like people, like priest; So I will punish them for their ways And repay them for their deeds.
  • Hosea 4:10 - They will eat, but not have enough; They will play the prostitute, but not increase, Because they gave up devoting themselves to the Lord.
  • Psalms 109:7 - When he is judged, may he come out guilty, And may his prayer become sin.
  • Psalms 109:8 - May his days be few; May another take his office.
  • Psalms 109:9 - May his children be fatherless, And his wife a widow.
  • Psalms 109:10 - May his children wander about and beg; And may they seek sustenance far from their ruined homes.
  • Psalms 109:11 - May the creditor seize everything that he has, And may strangers plunder the product of his labor.
  • Psalms 109:12 - May there be none to extend kindness to him, Nor any to be gracious to his fatherless children.
  • Psalms 109:13 - May his descendants be eliminated; May their name be wiped out in a following generation.
  • Psalms 109:14 - May the guilt of his fathers be remembered before the Lord, And do not let the sin of his mother be wiped out.
  • Psalms 109:15 - May they be before the Lord continually, So that He may eliminate their memory from the earth;
  • Haggai 1:9 - “You start an ambitious project, but behold, it comes to little; when you bring it home, I blow it away. Why?” declares the Lord of armies. “It is because of My house which remains desolate, while each of you runs to his own house.
  • Isaiah 57:11 - “Of whom were you worried and fearful When you lied, and did not remember Me Nor give Me a thought? Was I not silent, even for a long time, So you do not fear Me?
  • Ezekiel 3:7 - yet the house of Israel will not be willing to listen to you, since they are not willing to listen to Me. The entire house of Israel certainly is stubborn and obstinate.
  • 1 Peter 4:11 - Whoever speaks is to do so as one who is speaking actual words of God; whoever serves is to do so as one who is serving by the strength which God supplies; so that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belongs the glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen.
  • Psalms 81:11 - “But My people did not listen to My voice, And Israel did not obey Me.
  • Psalms 81:12 - So I gave them over to the stubbornness of their heart, To walk by their own plans.
  • Luke 23:28 - But Jesus turned to them and said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, stop weeping for Me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

  • Leviticus 26:15 - if, instead, you reject My statutes, and if your soul loathes My ordinances so as not to carry out all My commandments, but rather to break My covenant,
  • Leviticus 26:16 - I, in turn, will do this to you: I will summon a sudden terror against you, consumption and fever that will make the eyes fail and the soul languish; also, you will sow your seed uselessly, for your enemies will eat it.
  • Leviticus 26:17 - And I will set My face against you so that you will be defeated before your enemies; and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one is pursuing you.
  • Leviticus 26:18 - If also after these things you do not obey Me, then I will punish you seven times more for your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:19 - I will also break down your pride of power; and I will make your sky like iron and your earth like bronze.
  • Leviticus 26:20 - Your strength will be consumed uselessly, for your land will not yield its produce and the trees of the land will not yield their fruit.
  • Leviticus 26:21 - ‘Yet if you show hostility toward Me and are unwilling to obey Me, I will increase the plague on you seven times according to your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:22 - I will also let loose among you the animals of the field, which will deprive you of your children and eliminate your cattle, and reduce your number so that your roads become deserted.
  • Leviticus 26:23 - ‘And if by these things you do not learn your lesson regarding Me, but you show hostility toward Me,
  • Leviticus 26:24 - then I in turn will show hostility toward you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:25 - I will also bring upon you a sword which will execute vengeance for the covenant; and when you gather together into your cities, I will send a plague among you, so that you will be handed over to the enemy.
  • Leviticus 26:26 - When I break your staff of bread, ten women will bake your bread in one oven, and they will bring back your bread in rationed amounts, so that you will eat and not be satisfied.
  • Leviticus 26:27 - ‘Yet if in spite of this you do not obey Me, but act with hostility against Me,
  • Leviticus 26:28 - then I will act with wrathful hostility against you, and I for My part will punish you seven times for your sins.
  • Leviticus 26:29 - Further, you will eat the flesh of your sons, and you will eat the flesh of your daughters.
  • Leviticus 26:30 - I then will destroy your high places, and cut down your incense altars, and pile your remains on the remains of your idols, for My soul will loathe you.
  • Leviticus 26:31 - I will turn your cities into ruins as well and make your sanctuaries desolate, and I will not smell your soothing aromas.
  • Leviticus 26:32 - And I will make the land desolate so that your enemies who settle in it will be appalled at it.
  • Leviticus 26:33 - You, however, I will scatter among the nations, and I will draw out a sword after you, as your land becomes desolate and your cities become ruins.
  • Leviticus 26:34 - ‘Then the land will restore its Sabbaths all the days of the desolation, while you are in your enemies’ land; then the land will rest and restore its Sabbaths.
  • Leviticus 26:35 - All the days of its desolation it will have the rest which it did not have on your Sabbaths, while you were living on it.
  • Leviticus 26:36 - As for those among you who are left, I will also bring despair into their hearts in the lands of their enemies. And the sound of a scattered leaf will chase them, and even when no one is pursuing they will flee as though from the sword, and they will fall.
  • Leviticus 26:37 - They will then stumble over each other as if running from the sword, although no one is pursuing; and you will have no strength to stand before your enemies.
  • Leviticus 26:38 - Instead, you will perish among the nations, and your enemies’ land will consume you.
  • Leviticus 26:39 - So those of you who may be left will rot away because of their wrongdoing in the lands of your enemies; and also because of the wrongdoing of their forefathers they will rot away with them.
  • Leviticus 26:40 - ‘But if they confess their wrongdoing and the wrongdoing of their forefathers, in their unfaithfulness which they committed against Me, and also in their acting with hostility against Me—
  • Leviticus 26:41 - I also was acting with hostility against them, to bring them into the land of their enemies—or if their uncircumcised heart is humbled so that they then make amends for their wrongdoing,
  • Leviticus 26:42 - then I will remember My covenant with Jacob, and I will remember also My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham as well, and I will remember the land.
  • Leviticus 26:43 - For the land will be abandoned by them, and will restore its Sabbaths while it is made desolate without them. They, meanwhile, will be making amends for their wrongdoing, because they rejected My ordinances and their soul loathed My statutes.
  • Leviticus 26:44 - Yet in spite of this, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not reject them, nor will I so loathe them as to destroy them, breaking My covenant with them; for I am the Lord their God.
  • Leviticus 26:45 - But I will remember for them the covenant with their ancestors, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, so that I might be their God. I am the Lord.’ ”
  • Leviticus 26:46 - These are the statutes and ordinances and laws which the Lord established between Himself and the sons of Israel through Moses on Mount Sinai.
  • Luke 17:18 - Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?”
  • Revelation 14:7 - and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth, and sea and springs of waters.”
  • Malachi 3:9 - You are cursed with a curse, for you are robbing Me, the entire nation of you!
