2 Kings 25:5 - But the Babylonian army chased after the king. They caught up with him in the plains of Jericho, and his entire army deserted him.
2 Kings 25:6 - They captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, where he passed sentence on him.
2 Kings 25:7 - Zedekiah’s sons were executed while Zedekiah was forced to watch. The king of Babylon then had Zedekiah’s eyes put out, bound him in bronze chains, and carried him off to Babylon.
Jeremiah 21:7 - Then I, the Lord, promise that I will hand over King Zedekiah of Judah, his officials, and any of the people who survive the war, starvation, and disease. I will hand them over to King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon and to their enemies who want to kill them. He will slaughter them with the sword. He will not show them any mercy, compassion, or pity.’
Jeremiah 32:4 - King Zedekiah of Judah will not escape from the Babylonians. He will certainly be handed over to the king of Babylon. He must answer personally to the king of Babylon and confront him face to face.
