  • Jeremiah 42:10 - ‘If you stay in this land, I will build you up and not tear you down; I will plant you and not uproot you, for I have relented concerning the disaster I have inflicted on you.
  • Isaiah 61:3 - and provide for those who grieve in Zion— to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of his splendor.

  • Jeremiah 19:15 - “This is what the Lord Almighty, the God of Israel, says: ‘Listen! I am going to bring on this city and all the villages around it every disaster I pronounced against them, because they were stiff-necked and would not listen to my words.’ ”
  • Jeremiah 2:21 - I had planted you like a choice vine of sound and reliable stock. How then did you turn against me into a corrupt, wild vine?
  • Jeremiah 12:2 - You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on their lips but far from their hearts.
  • Isaiah 5:2 - He dug it up and cleared it of stones and planted it with the choicest vines. He built a watchtower in it and cut out a winepress as well. Then he looked for a crop of good grapes, but it yielded only bad fruit.
