Seven periods of time will pass by for you, before you understand that the Most High is ruler over human kingdoms and gives them to whomever he wishes.
  • Psalms 32:3 - When I refused to confess my sin, my whole body wasted away, while I groaned in pain all day long.
  • Psalms 32:4 - For day and night you tormented me; you tried to destroy me in the intense heat of summer. (Selah)
  • Psalms 32:5 - Then I confessed my sin; I no longer covered up my wrongdoing. I said, “I will confess my rebellious acts to the Lord.” And then you forgave my sins. (Selah)
  • 2 Samuel 15:26 - However, if he should say, ‘I do not take pleasure in you,’ then he will deal with me in a way that he considers appropriate.”
  • Job 42:1 - Then Job answered the Lord:
  • Job 42:2 - “I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted;
  • Job 42:3 - you asked, ‘Who is this who darkens counsel without knowledge?’ But I have declared without understanding things too wonderful for me to know.
  • Job 42:4 - You said, ‘Pay attention, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.’
  • Job 42:5 - I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye has seen you.
  • Job 42:6 - Therefore I despise myself, and I repent in dust and ashes!
  • Job 40:3 - Then Job answered the Lord:
  • Job 40:4 - “Indeed, I am completely unworthy – how could I reply to you? I put my hand over my mouth to silence myself.
  • Job 40:5 - I have spoken once, but I cannot answer; twice, but I will say no more.”
  • Psalms 66:3 - Say to God: “How awesome are your deeds! Because of your great power your enemies cower in fear before you.
  • Romans 10:3 - For ignoring the righteousness that comes from God, and seeking instead to establish their own righteousness, they did not submit to God’s righteousness.
  • Daniel 4:34 - But at the end of the appointed time I, Nebuchadnezzar, looked up toward heaven, and my sanity returned to me. I extolled the Most High, and I praised and glorified the one who lives forever. For his authority is an everlasting authority, and his kingdom extends from one generation to the next.
  • Daniel 4:35 - All the inhabitants of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he wishes with the army of heaven and with those who inhabit the earth. No one slaps his hand and says to him, ‘What have you done?’
  • Daniel 4:36 - At that time my sanity returned to me. I was restored to the honor of my kingdom, and my splendor returned to me. My ministers and my nobles were seeking me out, and I was reinstated over my kingdom. I became even greater than before.
  • Daniel 4:37 - Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, for all his deeds are right and his ways are just. He is able to bring down those who live in pride.
  • 1 Samuel 3:18 - So Samuel told him everything. He did not hold back anything from him. Eli said, “The Lord will do what he pleases.”
  • 1 Peter 2:13 - Be subject to every human institution for the Lord’s sake, whether to a king as supreme
  • 2 Chronicles 30:8 - Now, don’t be stubborn like your fathers! Submit to the Lord and come to his sanctuary which he has permanently consecrated. Serve the Lord your God so that he might relent from his raging anger.

  • Matthew 4:6 - and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down. For it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you’ and ‘with their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
  • Matthew 4:7 - Jesus said to him, “Once again it is written: ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’”
  • Matthew 4:8 - Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain, and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their grandeur.
  • Matthew 4:9 - And he said to him, “I will give you all these things if you throw yourself to the ground and worship me.”
  • Matthew 4:10 - Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written: ‘You are to worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
  • Matthew 4:11 - Then the devil left him, and angels came and began ministering to his needs.
  • Luke 4:2 - where for forty days he endured temptations from the devil. He ate nothing during those days, and when they were completed, he was famished.
  • Luke 4:3 - The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”
  • Luke 4:4 - Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘Man does not live by bread alone.’”
  • Luke 4:5 - Then the devil led him up to a high place and showed him in a flash all the kingdoms of the world.
  • Luke 4:6 - And he said to him, “To you I will grant this whole realm – and the glory that goes along with it, for it has been relinquished to me, and I can give it to anyone I wish.
  • Luke 4:7 - So then, if you will worship me, all this will be yours.”
  • Luke 4:8 - Jesus answered him, “It is written, ‘You are to worship the Lord your God and serve only him.’”
  • Luke 4:9 - Then the devil brought him to Jerusalem, had him stand on the highest point of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down from here,
  • Luke 4:10 - for it is written, ‘He will command his angels concerning you, to protect you,’
  • Luke 4:11 - and ‘with their hands they will lift you up, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
  • Luke 4:12 - Jesus answered him, “It is said, ‘You are not to put the Lord your God to the test.’”
  • Luke 4:13 - So when the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until a more opportune time.
  • 1 Peter 5:6 - And God will exalt you in due time, if you humble yourselves under his mighty hand
  • Ephesians 6:11 - Clothe yourselves with the full armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil.
  • Ephesians 6:12 - For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavens.
  • Ephesians 4:27 - Do not give the devil an opportunity.
  • 1 Peter 5:8 - Be sober and alert. Your enemy the devil, like a roaring lion, is on the prowl looking for someone to devour.
  • 1 Peter 5:9 - Resist him, strong in your faith, because you know that your brothers and sisters throughout the world are enduring the same kinds of suffering.
