  • 2 Kings 17:13 - Yet the Lord warned Israel and Judah through all His prophets and every seer, saying, “Turn back from your evil ways and keep My commandments and My statutes in accordance with all the Law which I commanded your fathers, and which I sent to you through My servants the prophets.”
  • 2 Kings 17:14 - However, they did not listen, but stiffened their neck like their fathers, who did not believe in the Lord their God.
  • 2 Kings 17:15 - They rejected His statutes and His covenant which He made with their fathers, and His warnings which He gave them. And they followed idols and became empty, and followed the nations that surrounded them, about which the Lord had commanded them not to do as they did.
  • 2 Kings 17:16 - And they abandoned all the commandments of the Lord their God and made for themselves cast metal images: two calves. And they made an Asherah, and worshiped all the heavenly lights, and served Baal.
  • 2 Kings 17:17 - Then they made their sons and their daughters pass through the fire, and they practiced divination and interpreting omens, and gave themselves over to do evil in the sight of the Lord, provoking Him.
  • 2 Kings 17:18 - So the Lord was very angry with Israel, and He removed them from His sight; no one was left except the tribe of Judah.
  • 2 Kings 17:19 - Judah did not keep the commandments of the Lord their God either, but they followed the customs which Israel had introduced.
  • 2 Kings 17:20 - So the Lord rejected all the descendants of Israel and afflicted them and handed them over to plunderers, until He had cast them out of His sight.
  • 2 Kings 17:21 - When He had torn Israel from the house of David, they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king. Then Jeroboam drove Israel away from following the Lord and misled them into a great sin.
  • 2 Kings 17:22 - And the sons of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he committed; they did not desist from them
  • 2 Kings 17:23 - until the Lord removed Israel from His sight, just as He had spoken through all His servants the prophets. So Israel went into exile from their own land to Assyria until this day.
  • Hosea 1:6 - Then she conceived again and gave birth to a daughter. And the Lord said to him, “Name her Lo-ruhamah, for I will no longer take pity on the house of Israel, that I would ever forgive them.
  • Hosea 1:7 - But I will take pity on the house of Judah and save them by the Lord their God, and will not save them by bow, sword, battle, horses, or horsemen.”
  • Hosea 1:8 - When she had weaned Lo-ruhamah, she conceived and gave birth to a son.
  • Hosea 1:9 - And the Lord said, “Name him Lo-ammi, because you are not My people, and I am not your God.”
  • Hosea 1:10 - Yet the number of the sons of Israel Will be like the sand of the sea, Which cannot be measured or counted; And in the place Where it is said to them, “You are not My people,” It will be said to them, “You are the sons of the living God.”
  • Ezra 4:2 - they approached Zerubbabel and the heads of fathers’ households, and said to them, “Let us build with you, for like you, we seek your God; and we have been sacrificing to Him since the days of Esarhaddon king of Assyria, who brought us up here.”
  • Genesis 14:15 - Then he divided his forces against them by night, he and his servants, and defeated them, and pursued them as far as Hobah, which is north of Damascus.
  • Isaiah 17:1 - The pronouncement concerning Damascus: “Behold, Damascus is about to be removed from being a city And will become a fallen ruin.
  • Isaiah 17:2 - The cities of Aroer are abandoned; They will be for herds to lie down in, And there will be no one to frighten them.
  • Isaiah 17:3 - The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim, And sovereignty from Damascus And the remnant of Aram; They will be like the glory of the sons of Israel,” Declares the Lord of armies.
