Isaiah 1:7 - Your land is devastated, your cities burned with fire. Right before your eyes your crops are being destroyed by foreign invaders. They leave behind devastation and destruction.
Jeremiah 51:34 - “King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon devoured me and drove my people out. Like a monster from the deep he swallowed me. He filled his belly with my riches. He made me an empty dish. He completely cleaned me out.”
Jeremiah 51:35 - The person who lives in Zion says, “May Babylon pay for the violence done to me and to my relatives.” Jerusalem says, “May those living in Babylonia pay for the bloodshed of my people.”
Jeremiah 52:31 - In the thirty-seventh year of the exile of King Jehoiachin of Judah, on the twenty-fifth day of the twelfth month, Evil-Merodach, in the first year of his reign, pardoned King Jehoiachin of Judah and released him from prison.
Isaiah 52:4 - For this is what the sovereign Lord says: “In the beginning my people went to live temporarily in Egypt; Assyria oppressed them for no good reason.

Isaiah 18:2 - that sends messengers by sea, who glide over the water’s surface in boats made of papyrus. Go, you swift messengers, to a nation of tall, smooth-skinned people, to a people that are feared far and wide, to a nation strong and victorious, whose land rivers divide.
Isaiah 42:7 - to open blind eyes, to release prisoners from dungeons, those who live in darkness from prisons.
Isaiah 56:9 - All you wild animals in the fields, come and devour, all you wild animals in the forest!
Luke 21:20 - “But when you see Jerusalem surrounded by armies, then know that its desolation has come near.
Luke 21:21 - Then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. Those who are inside the city must depart. Those who are out in the country must not enter it,
Luke 21:22 - because these are days of vengeance, to fulfill all that is written.
Luke 21:23 - Woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing their babies in those days! For there will be great distress on the earth and wrath against this people.
Luke 21:24 - They will fall by the edge of the sword and be led away as captives among all nations. Jerusalem will be trampled down by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled.
Deuteronomy 28:29 - You will feel your way along at noon like the blind person does in darkness and you will not succeed in anything you do; you will be constantly oppressed and continually robbed, with no one to save you.
Deuteronomy 28:30 - You will be engaged to a woman and another man will rape her. You will build a house but not live in it. You will plant a vineyard but not even begin to use it.
Deuteronomy 28:31 - Your ox will be slaughtered before your very eyes but you will not eat of it. Your donkey will be stolen from you as you watch and will not be returned to you. Your flock of sheep will be given to your enemies and there will be no one to save you.
Deuteronomy 28:32 - Your sons and daughters will be given to another people while you look on in vain all day, and you will be powerless to do anything about it.
Deuteronomy 28:33 - As for the produce of your land and all your labor, a people you do not know will consume it, and you will be nothing but oppressed and crushed for the rest of your lives.
Isaiah 24:22 - They will be imprisoned in a pit, locked up in a prison, and after staying there for a long time, they will be punished.
Isaiah 24:18 - The one who runs away from the sound of the terror will fall into the pit; the one who climbs out of the pit, will be trapped by the snare. For the floodgates of the heavens are opened up and the foundations of the earth shake.
Jeremiah 52:4 - King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon came against Jerusalem with his whole army and set up camp outside it. They built siege ramps all around it. He arrived on the tenth day of the tenth month in the ninth year that Zedekiah ruled over Judah.
Jeremiah 52:5 - The city remained under siege until Zedekiah’s eleventh year.
Jeremiah 52:6 - By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine in the city was so severe the residents had no food.
Jeremiah 52:7 - They broke through the city walls, and all the soldiers tried to escape. They left the city during the night. They went through the gate between the two walls that is near the king’s garden. (The Babylonians had the city surrounded.) Then they headed for the Jordan Valley.
Jeremiah 52:8 - But the Babylonian army chased after the king. They caught up with Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and his entire army deserted him.
Jeremiah 52:9 - They captured him and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the territory of Hamath and he passed sentence on him there.
Jeremiah 52:10 - The king of Babylon had Zedekiah’s sons put to death while Zedekiah was forced to watch. He also had all the nobles of Judah put to death there at Riblah.
Jeremiah 52:11 - He had Zedekiah’s eyes put out and had him bound in chains. Then the king of Babylon had him led off to Babylon and he was imprisoned there until the day he died.
Luke 19:41 - Now when Jesus approached and saw the city, he wept over it,
Luke 19:42 - saying, “If you had only known on this day, even you, the things that make for peace! But now they are hidden from your eyes.
Luke 19:43 - For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and surround you and close in on you from every side.
Luke 19:44 - They will demolish you – you and your children within your walls – and they will not leave within you one stone on top of another, because you did not recognize the time of your visitation from God.”
Jeremiah 50:17 - “The people of Israel are like scattered sheep which lions have chased away. First the king of Assyria devoured them. Now last of all King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon has gnawed their bones.
Isaiah 45:13 - It is me – I stir him up and commission him; I will make all his ways level. He will rebuild my city; he will send my exiled people home, but not for a price or a bribe,” says the Lord who commands armies.
