  • Psalms 78:65 - Then the Lord rose up as though waking from sleep, like a warrior aroused from a drunken stupor.
  • Psalms 78:66 - He routed his enemies and sent them to eternal shame.
  • Ezekiel 29:6 - All the people of Egypt will know that I am the Lord, for to Israel you were just a staff made of reeds.

  • 1 Corinthians 1:25 - This foolish plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God’s weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
  • 1 Corinthians 1:26 - Remember, dear brothers and sisters, that few of you were wise in the world’s eyes or powerful or wealthy when God called you.
  • 1 Corinthians 1:27 - Instead, God chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose things that are powerless to shame those who are powerful.
  • 1 Corinthians 1:28 - God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important.
  • 1 Corinthians 1:29 - As a result, no one can ever boast in the presence of God.
  • Zephaniah 3:8 - Therefore, be patient,” says the Lord. “Soon I will stand and accuse these evil nations. For I have decided to gather the kingdoms of the earth and pour out my fiercest anger and fury on them. All the earth will be devoured by the fire of my jealousy.
  • Amos 3:6 - When the ram’s horn blows a warning, shouldn’t the people be alarmed? Does disaster come to a city unless the Lord has planned it?
  • Jude 1:25 - All glory to him who alone is God, our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord. All glory, majesty, power, and authority are his before all time, and in the present, and beyond all time! Amen.
  • Jeremiah 10:12 - But the Lord made the earth by his power, and he preserves it by his wisdom. With his own understanding he stretched out the heavens.
  • Isaiah 45:7 - I create the light and make the darkness. I send good times and bad times. I, the Lord, am the one who does these things.
  • Numbers 23:19 - God is not a man, so he does not lie. He is not human, so he does not change his mind. Has he ever spoken and failed to act? Has he ever promised and not carried it through?
