  • Genesis 31:49 - It was also called Mizpah. That’s because Laban said, “May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.
  • Genesis 31:50 - Don’t treat my daughters badly. Don’t get married to any women besides my daughters. There isn’t anyone here to see what we’re doing. But remember that God is a witness between you and me.”

They don’t obey his laws and commands. The Lord had given all these laws to the family of Jacob. He gave the name Israel to Jacob.
