Exodus 16:25 - Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field.
Exodus 16:26 - Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none [in the field].”
Exodus 16:27 - Now on the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they found none.
Exodus 16:28 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you [people] refuse to keep My commandments and My instructions (laws)?
Exodus 16:29 - See, the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you the bread for two days on the sixth day. Let every man stay in his place; no man is to leave his place on the seventh day.”
Exodus 16:30 - So the people rested on the seventh day.
Isaiah 56:2 - Blessed (happy, fortunate) is the man who does this, And the son of man who takes hold of it, Who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it, And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”
Isaiah 56:3 - Do not let the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, “The Lord will most certainly separate me from His people.” And do not let the eunuch say, “Look, I am a dry tree.”
Isaiah 56:4 - This is what the Lord says, “To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths And choose what pleases Me, And hold firmly to My covenant,
Isaiah 56:5 - To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off.
Isaiah 56:6 - “Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the Lord, To be His servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath without profaning it And holds fast to My covenant [by conscientious obedience];
Isaiah 56:7 - All these I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be accepted on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples.”
Exodus 34:21 - “You shall work for six days, but on the seventh day you shall rest; [even] in plowing time and in harvest you shall rest [on the Sabbath].
Exodus 20:8 - “Remember the Sabbath (seventh) day to keep it holy (set apart, dedicated to God).
Exodus 20:9 - Six days you shall labor and do all your work,
Exodus 20:10 - but the seventh day is a Sabbath [a day of rest dedicated] to the Lord your God; on that day you shall not do any work, you or your son, or your daughter, or your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock or the temporary resident (foreigner) who stays within your [city] gates.
Exodus 20:11 - For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea and everything that is in them, and He rested (ceased) on the seventh day. That is why the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy [that is, set it apart for His purposes].
Hebrews 4:4 - For somewhere [in Scripture] He has said this about the seventh day: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”;
Hebrews 4:5 - and again in this, “They shall not enter My rest.”
Hebrews 4:6 - Therefore, since the promise remains for some to enter His rest, and those who formerly had the good news preached to them failed to [grasp it and did not] enter because of [their unbelief evidenced by] disobedience,
Hebrews 4:7 - He again sets a definite day, [a new] “Today,” [providing another opportunity to enter that rest by] saying through David after so long a time, just as has been said before [in the words already quoted], “Today if you hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.”
Hebrews 4:8 - [This mention of a rest was not a reference to their entering into Canaan.] For if Joshua had given them rest, God would not speak about another day [of opportunity] after that.
Hebrews 4:9 - So there remains a [full and complete] Sabbath rest for the people of God.
Hebrews 4:10 - For the one who has once entered His rest has also rested from [the weariness and pain of] his [human] labors, just as God rested from [those labors uniquely] His own.
Exodus 31:13 - “But as for you, say to the Israelites, ‘You shall most certainly observe My Sabbaths, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, so that you may know [without any doubt] and acknowledge that I am the Lord who sanctifies you and sets you apart [for Myself].
Exodus 31:14 - Therefore, you shall keep the Sabbath, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it must be put to death; for whoever does work on the Sabbath, that person (soul) shall be cut off from among his people [excluding him from the atonement made for them].
Exodus 31:15 - For six days work may be done, but the seventh is the Sabbath of complete rest, sacred to the Lord; whoever does work on the Sabbath day must be put to death.
Exodus 31:16 - So the Israelites shall observe the Sabbath, to celebrate the Sabbath throughout their generations as a perpetual covenant.’
Exodus 31:17 - It is a sign between Me and the Israelites forever; for in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He ceased and was refreshed.”
Exodus 35:2 - “For six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord; whoever does any kind of work on that day shall be put to death.
Exodus 35:3 - You shall not kindle a fire in any of your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”
Nehemiah 9:14 - So You made known to them Your holy Sabbath, And gave them commandments, statutes, and law, Through Your servant Moses.
Deuteronomy 5:12 - ‘Observe the Sabbath day to keep it holy (set apart, dedicated to God), as the Lord your God commanded you.
Deuteronomy 5:13 - Six days you shall labor and do all your work,

Leviticus 25:2 - “Speak to the children of Israel and say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I am giving you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to the Lord.
Leviticus 25:3 - For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its crop.
Proverbs 10:22 - The blessing of the Lord brings [true] riches, And He adds no sorrow to it [for it comes as a blessing from God].
Exodus 23:12 - “Six days [each week] you shall do your work, but on the seventh day you shall stop [working] so that your ox and your donkey may settle down and rest, and the son of your female servant, as well as your stranger, may be refreshed.
Isaiah 58:13 - “If you turn back your foot from [ unnecessary travel on] the Sabbath, From doing your own pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a [spiritual] delight, and the holy day of the Lord honorable, And honor it, not going your own way Or engaging in your own pleasure Or speaking your own [idle] words,
Isaiah 58:14 - Then you will take pleasure in the Lord, And I will make you ride on the high places of the earth, And I will feed you with the [promised] heritage of Jacob your father; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken.”
Jeremiah 17:21 - Thus says the Lord, “Pay attention for your own good, [and for the sake of your future] do not carry any load on the Sabbath day or bring anything in through the gates of Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 17:22 - You shall not carry a load out of your houses on the Sabbath day nor do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy [by setting it apart as a day of worship], as I commanded your fathers.
Jeremiah 17:23 - Yet they would not listen and obey and control their behavior; but they were stiff-necked in order not to hear and take instruction.
Jeremiah 17:24 - But it will come about, if you listen diligently to Me,” says the Lord, “to bring no load in through the gates of this city on the Sabbath day, but keep the Sabbath day holy by doing no work on it,
Jeremiah 17:25 - then kings and princes who will sit on the throne of David will enter through the gates of this city, riding in chariots and on horses—the kings and their princes, the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and this city will be inhabited and endure throughout the ages.
Jeremiah 17:26 - People will come from the cities of Judah and the places all around Jerusalem, from the land of Benjamin, from the lowland, from the hill country and from the South (the Negev), bringing burnt offerings and sacrifices, grain offerings and incense, and bringing sacrifices of thanksgiving to the house of the Lord.
Jeremiah 17:27 - But if you will not listen to Me and keep the Sabbath day holy by not carrying a load as you come in the gates of Jerusalem on the Sabbath day, then I will kindle a fire in her gates that cannot be extinguished, and it will devour the palaces of Jerusalem.” ’ ”
Luke 23:56 - Then they went back and prepared spices and ointments and sweet-smelling herbs. And on the Sabbath they rested in accordance with the commandment [forbidding work].
Mark 2:27 - Jesus said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
Leviticus 23:3 - ‘For six days work may be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation (calling together). You shall not do any work [on that day]; it is the Sabbath of the Lord wherever you may be.
Ezekiel 20:12 - Also I gave them My Sabbaths to be a sign between Me and them, that they might know [without any doubt] that I am the Lord who sanctifies them (separates and sets them apart).
