  • Genesis 17:16 - I will bless her, and indeed I will also give you a son by her. Yes, I will bless her, and she shall be a mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her.”
  • Genesis 17:17 - Then Abraham fell on his face and laughed, and said in his heart, “Shall a child be born to a man who is a hundred years old? And shall Sarah, who is ninety years old, bear a child?”
  • Genesis 17:18 - And Abraham said to God, “Oh, that Ishmael [my firstborn] might live before You!”
  • Genesis 17:19 - But God said, “No, Sarah your wife shall bear you a son indeed, and you shall name him Isaac (laughter); and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his descendants after him.
  • Genesis 17:20 - As for Ishmael, I have heard and listened to you; behold, I will bless him, and will make him fruitful and will greatly multiply him [through his descendants]. He will be the father of twelve princes (chieftains, sheiks), and I will make him a great nation.
  • Genesis 17:21 - But My covenant [My promise, My solemn pledge], I will establish with Isaac, whom Sarah will bear to you at this time next year.”
  • Genesis 17:22 - And God finished speaking with him and went up from Abraham.
  • Genesis 17:23 - Then Abraham took Ishmael his son, and all the servants who were born in his house and all who were purchased with his money, every male among the men of Abraham’s household, and circumcised the flesh of their foreskin the very same day, as God had said to him.
  • Genesis 17:24 - So Abraham was ninety-nine years old when he was circumcised.
  • Genesis 17:25 - And Ishmael his son was thirteen years old when he was circumcised.
  • Genesis 17:26 - On the very same day Abraham was circumcised, as well as Ishmael his son.
  • Genesis 17:27 - All the men [servants] of his household, both those born in the house and those purchased with money from a foreigner, were circumcised along with him [as the sign of God’s covenant with Abraham].
  • Isaiah 55:3 - Incline your ear [to listen] and come to Me; Hear, so that your soul may live; And I will make an everlasting covenant with you, According to the faithful mercies [promised and] shown to David.
  • Genesis 50:24 - Joseph said to his brothers, “I am about to die, but God will surely take care of you and bring you up out of this land to the land which He promised to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob [to give you].”
  • Galatians 3:15 - Brothers and sisters, I speak in terms of human relations: even though a last will and testament is just a human covenant, yet when it has been signed and made legally binding, no one sets it aside or adds to it [modifying it in some way].
  • Galatians 3:16 - Now the promises [in the covenants] were decreed to Abraham and to his seed. God does not say, “And to seeds (descendants, heirs),” as if [referring] to many [persons], but as to one, “And to your Seed,” who is [none other than] Christ.
  • Galatians 3:17 - This is what I mean: the Law, which came into existence four hundred and thirty years later [after the covenant concerning the coming Messiah], does not and cannot invalidate the covenant previously established by God, so as to abolish the promise.
  • 2 Samuel 8:3 - Then David defeated Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to restore his power at the River [Euphrates].
  • Exodus 3:8 - So I have come down to rescue them from the hand (power) of the Egyptians, and to bring them up from that land to a land [that is] good and spacious, to a land flowing with milk and honey [a land of plenty]—to the place of the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Amorite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
  • Psalms 105:11 - Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan As the measured portion of your inheritance.”
  • Exodus 34:11 - “Be sure to observe what I am commanding you this day: behold, I am going to drive out the Amorite before you, and the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite.
  • Genesis 28:4 - May He also give the blessing of Abraham to you and your descendants with you, that you may inherit the [promised] land of your sojournings, which He gave to Abraham.”
  • 2 Samuel 23:5 - Truly is not my house so [blessed] with God? For He has made an everlasting covenant with me, Ordered in all things, and secured. For will He not cause to grow and prosper All my salvation and my every wish? Will He not make it grow and prosper?
  • Genesis 28:13 - And behold, the Lord stood above and around him and said, “I am the Lord, the God of Abraham your [father’s] father and the God of Isaac; I will give to you and to your descendants the land [of promise] on which you are lying.
  • Genesis 28:14 - Your descendants shall be as [countless as] the dust of the earth, and you shall spread abroad to the west and the east and the north and the south; and all the families (nations) of the earth shall be blessed through you and your descendants.
  • Genesis 2:14 - The third river is named Hiddekel (Tigris); it flows east of Assyria. And the fourth river is the Euphrates.
  • Isaiah 27:12 - In that day the Lord will thresh [out His grain] from the flowing stream of the River [Euphrates] to the Brook of Egypt, and you will be gathered up one by one, O sons of Israel.
  • Jeremiah 32:40 - I will make an everlasting covenant with them that I will do them good and not turn away from them; and I will put in their heart a fear and reverential awe of Me, so that they will not turn away from Me.
  • Joshua 19:1 - Then the second lot fell to Simeon, to the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families (clans), and their inheritance was within the inheritance of the sons of Judah.
  • Joshua 19:2 - So they had as their inheritance Beersheba or Sheba and Moladah,

  • Joshua 19:4 - and Eltolad and Bethul and Hormah,
  • Joshua 19:5 - and Ziklag and Beth-marcaboth and Hazar-susah,
  • Joshua 19:6 - and Beth-lebaoth and Sharuhen; thirteen cities with their villages;
  • Joshua 19:7 - Ain, Rimmon and Ether and Ashan; four cities with their villages;
  • Joshua 19:8 - and all the villages which were around these cities as far as Baalath-beer, Ramah of the Negev (South country). This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Simeon according to their families.
  • Joshua 19:9 - The inheritance of the sons of Simeon was taken from the portion of the sons of Judah, for the share of the sons of Judah was too large for them; so the sons of Simeon received an inheritance within Judah’s inheritance.
  • Joshua 19:10 - The third lot came up for [the tribe of] the sons of Zebulun according to their families. The territory of their inheritance extended to Sarid.
  • Joshua 19:11 - Then its border went up westward and on to Maralah, and reached to Dabbesheth and reached to the brook east of Jokneam.
  • Joshua 19:12 - Then it turned from Sarid east toward the sunrise as far as the border of Chisloth-tabor, and it proceeded to Daberath and on up to Japhia.
  • Joshua 19:13 - From there it continued east toward the sunrise to Gath-hepher and to Eth-kazin, and proceeded to Rimmon which turns toward Neah.
  • Joshua 19:14 - The border circled it on the north to Hannathon, ending at the Valley of Iphtahel.
  • Joshua 19:15 - Included were Kattah and Nahalal and Shimron and Idalah and Bethlehem; twelve cities with their villages.
  • Joshua 19:16 - This was the inheritance of the sons of Zebulun according to their families, these cities with their villages.
  • Joshua 19:17 - The fourth lot fell to [the tribe of] Issachar, to the sons of Issachar according to their families.
  • Joshua 19:18 - Their territory included: Jezreel and Chesulloth and Shunem,
  • Joshua 19:19 - and Hapharaim and Shion and Anaharath,
  • Joshua 19:20 - and Rabbith and Kishion and Ebez,
  • Joshua 19:21 - and Remeth and En-gannim and En-haddah and Beth-pazzez.
  • Joshua 19:22 - The border reached to Tabor and Shahazumah and Beth-shemesh, and their border ended at the Jordan; sixteen cities with their villages.
  • Joshua 19:23 - This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.
  • Joshua 19:24 - The fifth lot fell to the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families.
  • Joshua 19:25 - Their territory was Helkath and Hali and Beten and Achshaph,
  • Joshua 19:26 - and Allammelech and Amad and Mishal; and on the west it reached to Carmel and to Shihor-libnath.
  • Joshua 19:27 - Then it turned eastward to Beth-dagon and reached Zebulun and the Valley of Iphtahel northward to Beth-emek and Neiel, and continued in the north to Cabul,
  • Joshua 19:28 - and Ebron and Rehob and Hammon and Kanah, as far as Great Sidon.
  • Joshua 19:29 - Then the border turned to Ramah, [reaching] to the fortified city of Tyre; and it turned to Hosah, and it ended at the [Mediterranean] sea at the region of Achzib.
  • Joshua 19:30 - Included were Ummah, and Aphek and Rehob; twenty-two cities with their villages.
  • Joshua 19:31 - This was the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Asher according to their families, these cities with their villages.
  • Joshua 19:32 - The sixth lot fell to [the tribe of] the sons of Naphtali according to their families.
  • Joshua 19:33 - Their border ran from Heleph, from the oak in Zaanannim and Adami-nekeb and Jabneel, as far as Lakkum, and it ended at the Jordan.
  • Joshua 19:34 - Then the border turned westward to Aznoth-tabor and went from there to Hukkok; and it reached Zebulun on the south and reached Asher on the west, and to Judah toward the east at the Jordan.
  • Joshua 19:35 - The fortified cities were Ziddim, Zer, and Hammath, Rakkath and Chinnereth,
  • Joshua 19:36 - and Adamah and Ramah and Hazor,
  • Joshua 19:37 - and Kedesh and Edrei and En-hazor,
  • Joshua 19:38 - and Yiron and Migdal-el, Horem and Beth-anath and Beth-shemesh; nineteen cities with their villages.
  • Joshua 15:4 - It continued along to Azmon and proceeded to the Brook of Egypt (Wadi el-Arish), and the border ended at the [Mediterranean] sea. This was their southern border.
  • 1 Chronicles 5:9 - To the east Bela settled as far as the entrance into the desert from the river Euphrates, because their cattle had multiplied in the land of Gilead.
  • 2 Chronicles 9:26 - He ruled over all the kings from the Euphrates River to the land of the Philistines, and as far as the border of Egypt.
  • Jeremiah 31:31 - “Behold, the days are coming,” says the Lord, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel (the Northern Kingdom) and with the house of Judah (the Southern Kingdom),
  • Jeremiah 31:32 - not like the covenant which I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” says the Lord.
  • Jeremiah 31:33 - “But this is the covenant which I will make with the house of Israel after those days,” says the Lord, “I will put My law within them, and I will write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they will be My people.
  • Jeremiah 31:34 - And each man will no longer teach his neighbor and his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they will all know Me [through personal experience], from the least of them to the greatest,” says the Lord. “For I will forgive their wickedness, and I will no longer remember their sin.”
  • 1 Kings 4:21 - Now Solomon reigned over all the kingdoms from the [Euphrates] River to the land of the Philistines and to the border of Egypt; they brought tribute (money) and served Solomon all the days of his life.
  • Numbers 34:5 - Then the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt (Wadi el-arish), and its limit shall be at the [Mediterranean] Sea.
  • Exodus 23:27 - I will send My terror ahead of you, and I will throw into confusion all the people among whom you come, and I will make all your enemies turn their backs to you [in flight].
  • Exodus 23:28 - I will send hornets ahead of you which shall drive out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite before you.
  • Exodus 23:29 - I will not drive them out before you in a single year, so that the land does not become desolate [due to lack of attention] and the [wild] animals of the field do not become too numerous for you.
  • Exodus 23:30 - I will drive them out before you little by little, until you have increased and are strong enough to take possession of the land.
  • Exodus 23:31 - I will establish your borders from the Red Sea to the Sea of the Philistines (the Mediterranean), and from the wilderness to the River Euphrates; for I will hand over the residents of the land to you, and you shall drive them out before you.
  • Hebrews 13:20 - Now may the God of peace [the source of serenity and spiritual well-being] who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood that sealed and ratified the eternal covenant,
  • Deuteronomy 34:4 - Then the Lord said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”
  • Genesis 24:7 - The Lord, the God of heaven, who took me from my father’s house, from the land of my family and my birth, who spoke to me and swore to me, saying, ‘To your descendants I will give this land’—He will send His angel before you [to guide you], and you will take a wife from there for my son [and bring her here].
  • Genesis 26:4 - I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of the heavens, and will give to your descendants all these lands; and by your descendants shall all the nations of the earth be blessed,
  • Deuteronomy 1:7 - Turn and resume your journey, and go to the hill country of the Amorites, and to all their neighbors in the Arabah, in the hill country and in the lowland (the Shephelah), in the Negev (South country) and on the coast of the [Mediterranean] Sea, the land of the Canaanites, and Lebanon, as far as the great river, the river Euphrates.
  • Deuteronomy 1:8 - Look, I have set the land before you; go in and take possession of the land which the Lord swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give to them and to their descendants after them.’
  • Deuteronomy 11:24 - Every place on which the sole of your foot treads shall become yours; your territory shall be from the wilderness to Lebanon, and from the river, the river Euphrates, as far as the western sea (the Mediterranean).
  • Joshua 1:3 - I have given you every place on which the sole of your foot treads, just as I promised to Moses.

  • Nehemiah 9:8 - You found his heart to be faithful before You, And You made a covenant with him To give him the land of the Canaanite, Of the Hittite, of the Amorite, Of the Perizzite, the Jebusite, and the Girgashite— To give it to his descendants. And You have fulfilled Your promise, For You are righteous and just.
  • Genesis 13:15 - for all the land which you see I will give to you and to your descendants forever.
  • Genesis 12:7 - Then the Lord appeared to Abram and said, “I will give this land to your descendants.” So Abram built an altar there to [honor] the Lord who had appeared to him.
