Jeremiah 52:8 - But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the desert plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him.
Jeremiah 52:9 - Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him.
Jeremiah 52:10 - And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also slaughtered all the commanders of Judah in Riblah.
Jeremiah 52:11 - Then he blinded the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him with bronze shackles and brought him to Babylon and put him in prison until the day of his death.

Jeremiah 52:13 - And he burned the house of the Lord, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every large house he burned with fire.
Jeremiah 52:14 - So the entire army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard tore down all the walls around Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 52:15 - Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took into exile some of the poorest of the people, the rest of the people who were left in the city, the deserters who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the craftsmen.

Jeremiah 52:17 - Now the bronze pillars which belonged to the house of the Lord and the stands and the bronze sea, which were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans smashed to pieces and carried all their bronze to Babylon.
Jeremiah 52:18 - They also took the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the basins, the pans, and all the bronze vessels which were used in temple service.
Jeremiah 52:19 - The captain of the guard also took the bowls, the firepans, the basins, the pots, the lampstands, the pans, and the drink offering bowls, whatever was fine gold, and whatever was fine silver.
Jeremiah 52:20 - The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the sea, and the stands, which King Solomon had made for the house of the Lord—the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.
Jeremiah 52:21 - As for the pillars, the height of each pillar was eighteen cubits, and it was twelve cubits in circumference and four fingers in thickness, and hollow.
Jeremiah 52:22 - Also, a capital of bronze was on top of it; and the height of each capital was five cubits, with latticework and pomegranates on the capital all around, all of bronze. And the second pillar was like these, including pomegranates.

Jeremiah 39:14 - they even sent word and took Jeremiah out of the courtyard of the guardhouse and entrusted him to Gedaliah, the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, to take him home. So he stayed among the people.
Jeremiah 39:15 - Now the word of the Lord had come to Jeremiah while he was confined in the courtyard of the guardhouse, saying,
Jeremiah 39:16 - “Go and speak to Ebed-melech the Ethiopian, saying, ‘This is what the Lord of armies, the God of Israel says: “Behold, I am going to bring My words on this city for disaster and not for prosperity; and they will take place before you on that day.
Jeremiah 39:17 - But I will save you on that day,” declares the Lord, “and you will not be handed over to the men of whom you are afraid.
Jeremiah 39:18 - For I will assuredly rescue you, and you will not fall by the sword; but you will have your own life as plunder, because you have trusted in Me,” declares the Lord.’ ”
Esther 1:8 - But the drinking was done according to the royal law; there was no compulsion, for so the king had given orders to each official of his household, that he was to do as each person pleased.
Esther 1:11 - to bring Queen Vashti before the king with her royal turban in order to display her beauty to the people and the officials, for she was beautiful.
2 Chronicles 36:1 - Then the people of the land took Joahaz the son of Josiah and made him king in place of his father in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 36:2 - Joahaz was twenty-three years old when he became king, and he reigned for three months in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 36:3 - Then the king of Egypt deposed him in Jerusalem, and imposed a fine on the land of a hundred talents of silver and one talent of gold.
2 Chronicles 36:4 - The king of Egypt made Joahaz’s brother Eliakim king over Judah and Jerusalem, and changed his name to Jehoiakim. But Neco took his brother Joahaz and brought him to Egypt.
2 Chronicles 36:5 - Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem; and he did evil in the sight of the Lord his God.
2 Chronicles 36:6 - Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up against him and bound him with bronze chains to take him to Babylon.
2 Chronicles 36:7 - Nebuchadnezzar also brought some of the articles of the house of the Lord to Babylon, and he put them in his temple in Babylon.
2 Chronicles 36:8 - Now the rest of the acts of Jehoiakim and the abominations which he committed, and what was found against him, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah. And his son Jehoiachin became king in his place.
2 Chronicles 36:9 - Jehoiachin was eighteen years old when he became king, and he reigned for three months and ten days in Jerusalem. He did evil in the sight of the Lord.
2 Chronicles 36:10 - At the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar sent men and had him brought to Babylon with the valuable articles of the house of the Lord; and he made his relative Zedekiah king over Judah and Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 36:11 - Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 36:12 - He did evil in the sight of the Lord his God; he did not humble himself before Jeremiah the prophet who spoke for the Lord.
2 Chronicles 36:13 - He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear allegiance by God. But he stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord God of Israel.
2 Chronicles 36:14 - Furthermore, all the officials of the priests and the people were very unfaithful, following all the abominations of the nations; and they defiled the house of the Lord which He had sanctified in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 36:15 - Yet the Lord, the God of their fathers, sent word to them again and again by His messengers, because He had compassion on His people and on His dwelling place;
2 Chronicles 36:16 - but they continually mocked the messengers of God, despised His words, and scoffed at His prophets, until the wrath of the Lord rose against His people, until there was no remedy.
2 Chronicles 36:17 - So He brought up against them the king of the Chaldeans, who killed their young men with the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and had no compassion on young man or virgin, old man or frail; He handed them all over to him.
2 Chronicles 36:18 - He brought all the articles of the house of God, great and small, and the treasures of the house of the Lord, and the treasures of the king and his officers, to Babylon.
2 Chronicles 36:19 - Then they burned the house of God and broke down the wall of Jerusalem, and burned all its fortified buildings with fire and destroyed all its valuable articles.
2 Chronicles 36:20 - He took into exile those who had escaped from the sword to Babylon; and they were servants to him and to his sons until the rule of the kingdom of Persia,
2 Chronicles 36:21 - to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land had enjoyed its Sabbaths. All the days of its desolation it kept the Sabbath until seventy years were complete.
2 Chronicles 36:22 - Now in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia—in order to fulfill the word of the Lord by the mouth of Jeremiah—the Lord stirred up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia so that he sent a proclamation throughout his kingdom, and also put it in writing, saying,
2 Chronicles 36:23 - “This is what Cyrus king of Persia says: ‘The Lord, the God of heaven, has given me all the kingdoms of the earth, and He has appointed me to build Him a house in Jerusalem, which is in Judah. Whoever there is among you of all His people, may the Lord his God be with him; go up then!’ ”

Esther 1:3 - in the third year of his reign he held a banquet for all his officials and attendants, the army officers of Persia and Media, the nobles and the officials of his provinces, in his presence.

Jeremiah 52:1 - Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he became king, and he reigned for eleven years in Jerusalem; and his mother’s name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.
Jeremiah 52:2 - He did evil in the sight of the Lord, in accordance with everything that Jehoiakim had done.
Jeremiah 52:3 - For because of the anger of the Lord this came about in Jerusalem and Judah, until He drove them out from His presence. And Zedekiah revolted against the king of Babylon.
Jeremiah 52:4 - Now it came about in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, camped against it, and built a bulwark all around it.
Jeremiah 52:5 - So the city was under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.
Jeremiah 52:6 - On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.
Jeremiah 52:7 - Then the city was breached, and all the warriors fled and left the city at night by way of the gate between the two walls which was by the king’s garden, though the Chaldeans were all around the city. And they went by way of the Arabah.
Jeremiah 52:8 - But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook Zedekiah in the desert plains of Jericho, and all his army was scattered from him.
Jeremiah 52:9 - Then they captured the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah in the land of Hamath, and he passed sentence on him.
Jeremiah 52:10 - And the king of Babylon slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and he also slaughtered all the commanders of Judah in Riblah.
Jeremiah 52:11 - Then he blinded the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him with bronze shackles and brought him to Babylon and put him in prison until the day of his death.
Jeremiah 52:12 - Now on the tenth day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard, who was in the service of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 52:13 - And he burned the house of the Lord, the king’s house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every large house he burned with fire.
Jeremiah 52:14 - So the entire army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard tore down all the walls around Jerusalem.
Jeremiah 52:15 - Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took into exile some of the poorest of the people, the rest of the people who were left in the city, the deserters who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the craftsmen.
Jeremiah 52:16 - But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and farmers.
Jeremiah 52:17 - Now the bronze pillars which belonged to the house of the Lord and the stands and the bronze sea, which were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans smashed to pieces and carried all their bronze to Babylon.
Jeremiah 52:18 - They also took the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the basins, the pans, and all the bronze vessels which were used in temple service.
Jeremiah 52:19 - The captain of the guard also took the bowls, the firepans, the basins, the pots, the lampstands, the pans, and the drink offering bowls, whatever was fine gold, and whatever was fine silver.
Jeremiah 52:20 - The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve bronze bulls that were under the sea, and the stands, which King Solomon had made for the house of the Lord—the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.
Jeremiah 52:21 - As for the pillars, the height of each pillar was eighteen cubits, and it was twelve cubits in circumference and four fingers in thickness, and hollow.
Jeremiah 52:22 - Also, a capital of bronze was on top of it; and the height of each capital was five cubits, with latticework and pomegranates on the capital all around, all of bronze. And the second pillar was like these, including pomegranates.
Jeremiah 52:23 - There were ninety-six exposed pomegranates; all the pomegranates numbered a hundred on the latticework all around.
Jeremiah 52:24 - Then the captain of the guard took Seraiah the chief priest and Zephaniah the second priest, with the three officers of the temple.
Jeremiah 52:25 - He also took from the city one official who was overseer of the warriors, seven of the king’s advisers who were found in the city, the scribe of the commander of the army who mustered the people of the land, and sixty men from the people of the land who were found inside the city.
Jeremiah 52:26 - Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguards took them and brought them to the king of Babylon at Riblah.
Jeremiah 52:27 - Then the king of Babylon struck them and put them to death in Riblah in the land of Hamath. So Judah was led into exile from its land.
Jeremiah 52:28 - These are the people whom Nebuchadnezzar took into exile: in the seventh year 3,023 Jews;
Jeremiah 52:29 - in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadnezzar 832 persons from Jerusalem;
Jeremiah 52:30 - in the twenty-third year of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard took into exile 745 Jewish people; there were 4,600 people in all.
Jeremiah 52:31 - Now it came about in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-fifth of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the first year of his reign, showed favor to Jehoiachin king of Judah and brought him out of prison.
Jeremiah 52:32 - Then he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the thrones of the kings who were with him in Babylon.
Jeremiah 52:33 - So Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes, and had his meals in the king’s presence regularly all the days of his life.
Jeremiah 52:34 - And as his allowance, a regular allowance was given to him by the king of Babylon, a portion for each day, all the days of his life until the day of his death.
Acts 23:34 - Now when he had read it, he also asked from what province Paul was, and when he learned that he was from Cilicia,
2 Kings 25:11 - Then Nebuzaradan, the captain of the bodyguards, led into exile the rest of the people who were left in the city and the deserters who had deserted to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the people.
2 Kings 24:14 - Then he led into exile all the people of Jerusalem and all the commanders and all the valiant warriors, ten thousand exiles, and all the craftsmen and the smiths. None were left except the poorest people of the land.
2 Kings 24:15 - So he led Jehoiachin into exile to Babylon; also the king’s mother, the king’s wives, and his officials and the leading men of the land, he led into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon.
2 Kings 24:16 - And all the valiant men, seven thousand, and the craftsmen and the smiths, a thousand, all strong and fit for war, these too the king of Babylon brought into exile to Babylon.

Nehemiah 7:59 - the sons of Shephatiah, the sons of Hattil, the sons of Pochereth-hazzebaim, and the sons of Amon.
Nehemiah 7:60 - All the temple servants and the sons of Solomon’s servants totaled 392.
Nehemiah 7:61 - These were the ones who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer; but they could not provide evidence for their fathers’ households or their descendants, whether they were of Israel:
Nehemiah 7:62 - the sons of Delaiah, the sons of Tobiah, the sons of Nekoda, 642.
Nehemiah 7:63 - And of the priests: the sons of Hobaiah, the sons of Hakkoz, the sons of Barzillai, who took a wife of the daughters of Barzillai, the Gileadite, and was named after them.
Nehemiah 7:64 - These searched among their ancestral registration, but it could not be located; therefore they were considered unclean and disqualified from the priesthood.
Nehemiah 7:65 - And the governor said to them that they were not to eat from the most holy things until a priest arose with Urim and Thummim.
Nehemiah 7:66 - The whole assembly together totaled 42,360,
Nehemiah 7:67 - besides their male slaves and their female slaves, of whom there were 7,337; and they had 245 male and female singers.
Nehemiah 7:68 - Their horses were 736; their mules, 245;
Nehemiah 7:69 - their camels, 435; their donkeys, 6,720.
Nehemiah 7:70 - Some of the heads of fathers’ households gave to the work. The governor gave to the treasury a thousand gold drachmas, fifty basins, and 530 priests’ garments.
Nehemiah 7:71 - And some of the heads of fathers’ households gave to the treasury for the work twenty thousand gold drachmas and 2,200 silver minas.
Nehemiah 7:72 - What the rest of the people gave was twenty thousand gold drachmas, two thousand silver minas, and sixty-seven priests’ garments.
Nehemiah 7:73 - Now the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, some of the people, the temple servants, and all Israel lived in their cities. And when the seventh month came, the sons of Israel were in their cities.
