Hesekiel 4:1 - »Du Mensch, nimm dir einen Ziegelstein, leg ihn vor dich hin und ritz die Umrisse der Stadt Jerusalem hinein!
Hesekiel 4:2 - Mit diesem Stein sollst du vormachen, wie Jerusalem belagert werden wird: Schütte rings um ihn einen Wall auf, bau eine Angriffsrampe und setz von allen Seiten Rammböcke gegen die Mauer. Leg außerdem befestigte Heerlager rundherum an!
Hesekiel 4:3 - Nimm dann ein Backblech aus Eisen und stell es als eiserne Mauer zwischen dich und den Stein mit der Stadt! Wende dich gegen die Stadt und tu so, als würdest du sie belagern! Auf diese Weise sollst du den Israeliten zeigen, was sie erwartet.
Hesekiel 4:4 - Dann leg dich auf die linke Seite als Zeichen dafür, dass du die Schuld des Volkes Israel auf dich nimmst! 390 Tage musst du am Boden liegen, denn genauso viele Jahre haben sie mich verlassen.
Hesekiel 4:6 - Danach leg dich auf die rechte Seite und trag die Schuld des Reiches Juda: Vierzig Tage bürde ich dir diese Last auf, einen Tag für jedes Jahr, in dem sie sich von mir abgewandt haben.
Hesekiel 4:7 - Richte deinen Blick dabei auf das belagerte Jerusalem, droh den Leuten mit erhobener Faust und kündige ihnen mein Gericht an.
Hesekiel 4:8 - Schau, ich binde dich mit Stricken fest, damit du dich nicht von einer Seite auf die andere drehen kannst, bis du diese Zeit der Belagerung überstanden hast.
Jeremia 9:16 - Ich, der Herr, der allmächtige Gott, fordere euch auf: Begreift doch endlich, wie schlimm es um euch steht! Holt die Klageweiber, ja, lasst die weisen Frauen kommen!«
3. Mose 26:33 - Euch selbst zerstreue ich unter fremde Völker und ziehe noch dort mein Schwert, um euch zu vernichten. Euer Land wird zur Einöde, und eure Städte werden zu Trümmerhaufen.
Hesekiel 5:12 - Ein Drittel von euch geht in der Stadt zugrunde – durch Seuchen oder Hunger. Das zweite Drittel wird vor den Mauern Jerusalems mit dem Schwert niedergemetzelt, und den Rest zerstreue ich in alle Winde – mit gezücktem Schwert werde ich sie vertreiben.
