  • Leviticus 23:3 - “ ‘There are six days when you can work. But the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest. You must rest on it. Come together on that sacred day. You must not do any work on it. No matter where you live, it is a Sabbath day to honor the Lord.
  • Genesis 2:2 - By the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing. So on that day he rested from all his work.
