  • Isaiah 56:4 - For this is what the Lord says: “For the eunuchs who observe my Sabbaths and choose what pleases me and are faithful to my covenant,
  • Isaiah 56:5 - I will set up within my temple and my walls a monument that will be better than sons and daughters. I will set up a permanent monument for them that will remain.
  • Isaiah 56:6 - As for foreigners who become followers of the Lord and serve him, who love the name of the Lord and want to be his servants – all who observe the Sabbath and do not defile it, and who are faithful to my covenant –
  • Numbers 15:32 - When the Israelites were in the wilderness they found a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day.
  • Numbers 15:33 - Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to the whole community.
  • Numbers 15:34 - They put him in custody, because there was no clear instruction about what should be done to him.
  • Numbers 15:35 - Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; the whole community must stone him with stones outside the camp.”
  • Numbers 15:36 - So the whole community took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the Lord commanded Moses.
  • Exodus 35:2 - In six days work may be done, but on the seventh day there must be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of complete rest to the Lord. Anyone who does work on it will be put to death.
  • Exodus 35:3 - You must not kindle a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath day.”
