Romans 12:12 - constantly rejoicing in hope [because of our confidence in Christ], steadfast and patient in distress, devoted to prayer [continually seeking wisdom, guidance, and strength],
Ecclesiastes 11:9 - Rejoice, young man, in your childhood, and let your heart be pleasant in the days of your young manhood. And walk in the ways of your heart and in the desires of your eyes, but know that God will bring you into judgment for all these things.
Philippians 4:4 - Rejoice in the Lord always [delight, take pleasure in Him]; again I will say, rejoice!
Philippians 4:5 - Let your gentle spirit [your graciousness, unselfishness, mercy, tolerance, and patience] be known to all people. The Lord is near.
Ecclesiastes 6:12 - For who [ limited by human wisdom] knows what is good for man during his lifetime, during the few days of his futile life? He spends them like a shadow [staying busy, but achieving nothing of lasting value]. For who can tell a man what will happen after him [to his work, his treasure, his plans] under the sun [after his life is over]?
Ecclesiastes 8:7 - For no one knows what will happen; So who can tell him how and when it will happen?
Ecclesiastes 10:14 - Yet the fool multiplies words, though no man knows what will happen, and who can tell him what will come after he is gone?
Ecclesiastes 3:11 - He has made everything beautiful and appropriate in its time. He has also planted eternity [a sense of divine purpose] in the human heart [a mysterious longing which nothing under the sun can satisfy, except God]—yet man cannot find out (comprehend, grasp) what God has done (His overall plan) from the beginning to the end.
Ecclesiastes 3:12 - I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good as long as they live;
Ecclesiastes 2:24 - There is nothing better for a man than to eat and drink and assure himself that there is good in his labor. Even this, I have seen, is from the hand of God.
