  • 1 Samuel 14:42 - Saul said, “Cast [lots] between me and my son Jonathan.” And Jonathan was selected.
  • 1 Samuel 14:43 - Saul said to Jonathan, “Tell me what you have done.” So Jonathan told him, “I tasted a little honey with the end of the staff that was in my hand. Here I am, I must die!”
  • 1 Samuel 14:44 - Saul answered, “May God do so [to me], and more also [if I do not keep my word], for you shall most certainly die, Jonathan.”
