Then he got everyone together—officers, nobles, governors, and the people themselves—and escorted the king down from The Temple of God, through the Upper Gate, and placed him on the royal throne. Everybody celebrated the event. And the city was safe and undisturbed—Athaliah had been killed; no more Athaliah terror.

  • 1 Chronicles 25:28 - the twenty-first to Hothir, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
  • 1 Chronicles 25:29 - the twenty-second to Giddalti, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
  • 1 Chronicles 25:30 - the twenty-third to Mahazioth, his sons and his relatives, twelve;
  • 1 Chronicles 25:31 - the twenty-fourth to Romamti-ezer, his sons and his relatives, twelve.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:1 - When David reached old age, he made his son Solomon king over Israel.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:2 - And he assembled together all the leaders of Israel with the priests and Levites.

  • 1 Chronicles 23:8 - The sons of Ladan: Jehiel the first and Zetham and Joel—three in all.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:9 - The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran—three in all. These were the heads of the fathers’ households of Ladan.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:10 - The sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina (Zizah), Jeush, and Beriah. These were the four sons of Shimei.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:11 - Jahath was the first and Zizah the second; but Jeush and Beriah did not have many sons [not enough for a father’s house or clan], so they were [counted together] as one father’s household, one working group.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:12 - The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel—four in all.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:13 - The sons of Amram: Aaron and Moses. Aaron was set apart to consecrate him as most holy, he and his sons forever, to burn incense before the Lord, attend to His service, and to bless [worshipers] in His name forever.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:14 - But as for Moses the man of God, his sons were counted among the tribe of Levi.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:15 - The sons of Moses: Gershom and Eliezer.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:16 - The son of Gershom: Shebuel the chief.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:17 - The son of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chief. Eliezer had no other sons, but Rehabiah’s sons were very many [in number].
  • 1 Chronicles 23:18 - The son of Izhar: Shelomith the chief.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:19 - The sons of Hebron: Jeriah the first, Amariah the second, Jahaziel the third, and Jekameam the fourth.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:20 - The sons of Uzziel: Micah the first and Isshiah the second.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:21 - The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. The sons of Mahli: Eleazar and Kish.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:22 - Eleazar died and had no sons, but daughters only, and their relatives, the sons of Kish, took them as wives.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:23 - The sons of Mushi: Mahli, Eder, and Jeremoth—three in all.
  • 1 Chronicles 23:24 - These were the Levites by their fathers’ households, the heads of the fathers’ households of those registered, according to the number of names of the individuals who were the servants of the house of the Lord, from twenty years old and upward.
  • 2 Chronicles 5:5 - The Levitical priests brought up the ark, the Tent of Meeting, and all the holy utensils that were in the Tent.
