- Leviticus 10:17 - “Why haven’t you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is most holy, and he has given it to you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before Yahweh?
- Leviticus 10:18 - Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary. You certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded.”
- Hebrews 5:4 - Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
- 1 Samuel 2:28 - Didn’t I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? Didn’t I give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?
- Exodus 30:6 - You shall put it before the veil that is by the ark of the covenant, before the mercy seat that is over the covenant, where I will meet with you.
- Exodus 30:7 - Aaron shall burn incense of sweet spices on it every morning. When he tends the lamps, he shall burn it.
