  • Exodus 40:25 - and set up the lamps before the Lord, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:26 - Moses installed the gold altar in the tent of meeting, in front of the curtain,
  • Exodus 40:27 - and burned fragrant incense on it, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:28 - He put up the screen at the entrance to the tabernacle.
  • Exodus 40:29 - He placed the altar of burnt offering at the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting, and offered the burnt offering and the grain offering on it, just as the Lord had commanded him.
  • Exodus 40:30 - He set the basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it for washing.
  • Exodus 40:31 - Moses, Aaron, and his sons washed their hands and feet from it.
  • Exodus 40:32 - They washed whenever they came to the tent of meeting and approached the altar, just as the Lord had commanded Moses.
  • Exodus 40:33 - Next Moses set up the surrounding courtyard for the tabernacle and the altar and hung a screen for the gate of the courtyard. So Moses finished the work.
  • Exodus 40:34 - The cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
  • Exodus 40:35 - Moses was unable to enter the tent of meeting because the cloud rested on it, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle.
  • Exodus 40:36 - The Israelites set out whenever the cloud was taken up from the tabernacle throughout all the stages of their journey.
  • Exodus 40:37 - If the cloud was not taken up, they did not set out until the day it was taken up.
  • Exodus 40:38 - For the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and there was a fire inside the cloud by night, visible to the entire house of Israel throughout all the stages of their journey.
  • 1 Kings 3:4 - The king went to Gibeon to sacrifice there because it was the most famous high place. He offered a thousand burnt offerings on that altar.
  • 1 Kings 3:5 - At Gibeon the Lord appeared to Solomon in a dream at night. God said, “Ask. What should I give you?”
  • 1 Kings 3:6 - And Solomon replied, “You have shown great and faithful love to your servant, my father David, because he walked before you in faithfulness, righteousness, and integrity. You have continued this great and faithful love for him by giving him a son to sit on his throne, as it is today.
  • 1 Kings 3:7 - “Lord my God, you have now made your servant king in my father David’s place. Yet I am just a youth with no experience in leadership.
  • 1 Kings 3:8 - Your servant is among your people you have chosen, a people too many to be numbered or counted.
  • 1 Kings 3:9 - So give your servant a receptive heart to judge your people and to discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of yours?”
  • 1 Kings 3:10 - Now it pleased the Lord that Solomon had requested this.
  • 1 Kings 3:11 - So God said to him, “Because you have requested this and did not ask for long life or riches for yourself, or the death of your enemies, but you asked discernment for yourself to administer justice,
  • 1 Kings 3:12 - I will therefore do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and understanding heart, so that there has never been anyone like you before and never will be again.
  • 1 Kings 3:13 - In addition, I will give you what you did not ask for: both riches and honor, so that no king will be your equal during your entire life.
  • 1 Kings 3:14 - If you walk in my ways and keep my statutes and commands just as your father David did, I will give you a long life.”
  • 1 Kings 3:15 - Then Solomon woke up and realized it had been a dream. He went to Jerusalem, stood before the ark of the Lord’s covenant, and offered burnt offerings and fellowship offerings. Then he held a feast for all his servants.
  • 2 Chronicles 1:3 - Solomon and the whole assembly with him went to the high place that was in Gibeon because God’s tent of meeting, which the Lord’s servant Moses had made in the wilderness, was there.
  • 1 Chronicles 16:39 - David left the priest Zadok and his fellow priests before the tabernacle of the Lord at the high place in Gibeon
