Then the Lord will appear over them; his arrow will flash like lightning. The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet; he will march in the storms of the south,

Strap your sword on your thigh, mighty one: your splendor and your majesty.In your majesty ride on victoriously on behalf of truth, humility, and righteousness. Let your right hand display awesome deeds.Your arrows are sharp. The nations fall under you, with arrows in the heart of the king’s enemies.

Joshua took all these kings and their land at one time because Yahweh, the God of Israel, fought for Israel.

As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, Yahweh hurled down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the children of Israel killed with the sword.Then Joshua spoke to Yahweh in the day when Yahweh delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel. He said in the sight of Israel,“ Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!”The sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Isn’t this written in the book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the middle of the sky, and didn’t hurry to go down about a whole day.There was no day like that before it or after it, that Yahweh listened to the voice of a man; for Yahweh fought for Israel.

The sun and moon stood still in the sky, at the light of your arrows as they went, at the shining of your glittering spear.

Yahweh will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.

God also testifying with them, both by signs and wonders, by various works of power and by gifts of the Holy Spirit, according to his own will?

In that day Yahweh will defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem. He who is feeble among them at that day will be like David, and David’s house will be like God, like Yahweh’s angel before them.

The clouds poured out water. The skies resounded with thunder. Your arrows also flashed around.The voice of your thunder was in the whirlwind. The lightnings lit up the world. The earth trembled and shook.

Then Yahweh will go out and fight against those nations, as when he fought in the day of battle.

In the morning watch, Yahweh looked out on the Egyptian army through the pillar of fire and of cloud, and confused the Egyptian army.He took off their chariot wheels, and they drove them heavily; so that the Egyptians said,“ Let’s flee from the face of Israel, for Yahweh fights for them against the Egyptians!”

for the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but mighty before God to the throwing down of strongholds,throwing down imaginations and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ,

in the power of signs and wonders, in the power of God’s Spirit; so that from Jerusalem, and around as far as to Illyricum, I have fully preached the Good News of Christ;

Part your heavens, Yahweh, and come down. Touch the mountains, and they will smoke.Throw out lightning, and scatter them. Send out your arrows, and rout them.

All you inhabitants of the world, and you dwellers on the earth, when a banner is lifted up on the mountains, look! When the trumpet is blown, listen!
