I John, who also am your brother, and companion in tribulation, and in the kingdom and patience of Jesus Christ, was in the isle that is called Patmos, for the word of God, and for the testimony of Jesus Christ.

I, John, your brother and companion in the suffering and kingdom and patient endurance that are ours in Jesus, was on the island of Patmos because of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

I, John, am a believer like you. I am a friend who suffers like you. As members of Jesus’ royal family, we can put up with anything that happens to us. I was on the island of Patmos because I taught God’s word and what Jesus said.

I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus.

Confirming the souls of the disciples,[ and] exhorting them to continue in the faith, and that we must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world.

Who bare record of the word of God, and of the testimony of Jesus Christ, and of all things that he saw.

Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.

But if we hope for that we see not,[ then] do we with patience wait for[ it].

He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

Here is the patience of the saints: here[ are] they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Be not thou therefore ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me his prisoner: but be thou partaker of the afflictions of the gospel according to the power of God;

Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defence and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace.

And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with[ him], that we may be also glorified together.

And when he had opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of them that were slain for the word of God, and for the testimony which they held:

And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.

I know thy works, and tribulation, and poverty,( but thou art rich) and[ I know] the blasphemy of them which say they are Jews, and are not, but[ are] the synagogue of Satan.Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast[ some] of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life.

So that we ourselves glory in you in the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that ye endure:[ Which is] a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God, that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:

For I think that God hath set forth us the apostles last, as it were appointed to death: for we are made a spectacle unto the world, and to angels, and to men.We[ are] fools for Christ’s sake, but ye[ are] wise in Christ; we[ are] weak, but ye[ are] strong; ye[ are] honourable, but we[ are] despised.Even unto this present hour we both hunger, and thirst, and are naked, and are buffeted, and have no certain dwellingplace;And labour, working with our own hands: being reviled, we bless; being persecuted, we suffer it:Being defamed, we intreat: we are made as the filth of the world,[ and are] the offscouring of all things unto this day.

Be patient therefore, brethren, unto the coming of the Lord. Behold, the husbandman waiteth for the precious fruit of the earth, and hath long patience for it, until he receive the early and latter rain.Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh.

John to the seven churches which are in Asia: Grace[ be] unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne;

To them who by patient continuance in well doing seek for glory and honour and immortality, eternal life:But unto them that are contentious, and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, indignation and wrath,

And the Lord direct your hearts into the love of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

And not only[ so], but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience;And patience, experience; and experience, hope:

And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of[ this] life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.And if a man also strive for masteries,[ yet] is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully.The husbandman that laboureth must be first partaker of the fruits.Consider what I say; and the Lord give thee understanding in all things.Remember that Jesus Christ of the seed of David was raised from the dead according to my gospel:Wherein I suffer trouble, as an evil doer,[ even] unto bonds; but the word of God is not bound.Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.[ It is] a faithful saying: For if we be dead with[ him], we shall also live with[ him]:If we suffer, we shall also reign with[ him]: if we deny[ him], he also will deny us:

And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See[ thou do it] not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
