If you don’t have means to pay, why should he take away your bed from under you?

你若没有什么偿还，何必使人夺去你睡卧的床呢？

你若没有什么可偿还，何必使人夺去你睡卧的床呢？

如果你还不起，连你的床也会被抬走。

如果你没有什么可以偿还，何必使人连你睡觉的床也夺去呢？

如果你无力偿还，你身下的床就要被人拿走，何必如此呢？

你若沒有甚麼償還，何必使人奪去你睡臥的牀呢？

你若沒有甚麼可償還，何必使人奪去你睡臥的床呢？

你若沒有甚麼可償還，何必使人奪去你睡臥的床呢？

如果你還不起，連你的床也會被抬走。

如果你沒有甚麼可以償還，何必使人連你睡覺的床也奪去呢？

你若沒有甚麼償還，人就把你躺着睡的褥子拿走：何必呢？

胡為使人因爾無償、奪爾臥榻、

恐爾負金、人剝爾床以償。

恐爾不能償、人則奪爾所臥之床、

if you lack the means to pay, your very bed will be snatched from under you.

If you don’t have the money to pay, your bed will be taken right out from under you!

If you have nothing with which to pay, why should your bed be taken from under you?

If you can’t pay it, even your bed will be snatched from under you.

Take the garment of one who puts up collateral for a stranger; and hold him in pledge for a wayward woman.

If you take your neighbor’s garment as collateral, you shall restore it to him before the sun goes down,for that is his only covering, it is his garment for his skin. What would he sleep in? It will happen, when he cries to me, that I will hear, for I am gracious.
