“ For this reason I say to you, do not be worried about your life, as to what you will eat or what you will drink; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. Is life not more than food, and the body more than clothing?

「所以我告訴你們：不要為你們的生命而憂慮吃什麼、喝什麼；也不要為你們的身體而憂慮穿什麼；難道生命不比食物更重要，身體不比衣服更重要嗎？

故我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、夫生非大於食、身非大於衣乎、

我語汝、勿慮生何以食、何以飲、身何以衣、生非大於糧、身不大於衣乎、

故我告爾、勿為生命憂慮何以食、何以飲、勿為身體憂慮何以衣、生命不重於糧乎、身體不重於衣乎、

故吾語爾、毋庸岌岌於何食何飲以養生、何衣以蔽體。夫生不貴於食、體不貴於衣乎？

“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?

“ I tell you, do not worry. Don’t worry about your life and what you will eat or drink. And don’t worry about your body and what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than eating? Aren’t there more important things for the body than clothes?

“ Therefore I tell you, do not be anxious about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink, nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

“ That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life— whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

“ Therefore I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?

“ Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Therefore I say unto you, Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than the food, and the body than the raiment?

“ This is why I tell you: Don’t worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food and the body more than clothing?

Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

“ Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink, or about your body, what you will wear. Isn’t there more to life than food and more to the body than clothing?

Therefore I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

having cast all your anxiety on Him, because He cares about you.

Do not worry then, saying,‘ What are we to eat?’ or‘ What are we to drink?’ or‘ What are we to wear for clothing?’

And which of you by worrying can add a single day to his life’s span?And why are you worried about clothing? Notice how the lilies of the field grow; they do not labor nor do they spin thread for cloth,

He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him over for us all, how will He not also with Him freely give us all things?

Cast your burden upon the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never allow the righteous to be shaken.

But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given you in that hour.

And He said to His disciples,“ For this reason I tell you, do not worry about your life, as to what you are to eat; nor for your body, as to what you are to wear.For life is more than food, and the body is more than clothing.Consider the ravens, that they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!And which of you by worrying can add a day to his life’s span?Therefore if you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about the other things?Consider the lilies, how they grow: they neither labor nor spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon in all his glory clothed himself like one of these.Now if God so clothes the grass in the field, which is alive today and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more will He clothe you? You of little faith!And do not seek what you are to eat and what you are to drink, and do not keep worrying.For all these things are what the nations of the world eagerly seek; and your Father knows that you need these things.But seek His kingdom, and these things will be provided to you.

“ So do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

But I want you to be free from concern. One who is unmarried is concerned about the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord;

but the worries of the world, and the deceitfulness of wealth, and the desires for other things enter and choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

And the seed which fell among the thorns, these are the ones who have heard, and as they go on their way they are choked by worries, riches, and pleasures of this life, and they bring no fruit to maturity.

No soldier in active service entangles himself in the affairs of everyday life, so that he may please the one who enlisted him.

And the one sown with seed among the thorns, this is the one who hears the word, and the anxiety of the world and the deceitfulness of wealth choke the word, and it becomes unfruitful.

“ Now I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before people, the Son of Man will also confess him before the angels of God;but the one who denies Me before people will be denied before the angels of God.

But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said,“ Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do the serving by myself? Then tell her to help me.”But the Lord answered and said to her,“ Martha, Martha, you are worried and distracted by many things;

Make sure that your character is free from the love of money, being content with what you have; for He Himself has said,“ I will never desert you, nor will I ever abandon you,”so that we confidently say,“ The Lord is my helper, I will not be afraid. What will man do to me?”

And when they arrest you and hand you over, do not worry beforehand about what you are to say, but say whatever is given you at that time; for you are not the ones speaking, but it is the Holy Spirit.

Now when they bring you before the synagogues and the officials and the authorities, do not worry about how or what you are to speak in your defense, or what you are to say;

“ Now I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that have nothing more that they can do.But I will warn you whom to fear: fear the One who, after He has killed someone, has the power to throw that person into hell; yes, I tell you, fear Him!

But I say to you that everyone who is angry with his brother shall be answerable to the court; and whoever says to his brother,‘ You good for nothing,’ shall be answerable to the supreme court; and whoever says,‘ You fool,’ shall be guilty enough to go into the fiery hell.Therefore, if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and there you remember that your brother has something against you,leave your offering there before the altar and go; first be reconciled to your brother, and then come and present your offering.Come to good terms with your accuser quickly, while you are with him on the way to court, so that your accuser will not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the officer, and you will not be thrown into prison.Truly I say to you, you will not come out of there until you have paid up the last quadrans.“ You have heard that it was said,‘ You shall not commit adultery’;but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.
