為什麼萬國悖逆，萬民圖謀虛妄的事呢？地上的君王們站出來，首領們一同商定，敵對耶和華和他的受膏者，說：

原來，祭司長們和法利賽人早就下令，如果有人知道耶穌在哪裡，就要報告，好抓住他。

他們把耶穌從該亞法那裡帶到總督府，那時是清晨。他們為了不被汙穢，能吃逾越節的晚餐，就沒有進入總督府。

拘捕耶穌的人把他帶到大祭司該亞法那裡。經文士們和長老們已經聚集在那裡了。彼得遠遠地跟著耶穌，一直到大祭司的院子。他進到裡面，與差役們坐在一起，想看看結果如何。

到了第二天，猶太人的首領、長老和經文士們都聚集在耶路撒冷。大祭司亞納、該亞法、約翰、亞歷山大，以及大祭司家族的人都在那裡。

他們聚集、設伏、窺探我的腳蹤，伺機要害我的命。

為要從隱祕處射純全人；他們突然射他，肆無忌憚。他們彼此慫恿去做惡事，彼此商量要暗設陷阱，說：「誰能看見呢？」他們籌劃不義，說：「我們所籌劃的計謀定好了。」人的意念和心思實在深不可測。

祭司長們和法利賽人聽了耶穌的這些比喻，知道他是針對他們而說的，就想拘捕他，可是怕民眾，因為他們都認為耶穌是先知。

那些坐在奸惡王位上的，就是藉著律例製造禍患的，難道能成為你的盟友嗎？他們互相勾結攻擊義人，把無辜人定了死罪。
