「那些日子的患難一過去，『太陽就要變黑，月亮也不發光，星辰要從天上墜落，諸天的各勢力也將被震動。』

此難之後、日將冥、月無光、星隕自天、天象震動、

患難之後、日晦冥、月無光、星隕自天、天象震動、

此時之難後、日即晦冥、月不發光、星隕自天、天象象或作勢震動、

大難甫平、日即晦冥、月失其明；眾星隕墜、天德動搖。

“ Immediately after the distress of those days“‘ the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from the sky, and the heavenly bodies will be shaken.’

“到那日，這是耶和華的宣告：我必使太陽在正午落下，在白晝使地變成昏暗。

日月昏暗，星星無光。

那時，月亮必蒙羞，日頭要慚愧，因為萬軍之耶和華必在錫安山，在耶路撒冷作王；並且在他子民的眾長老面前，大有榮耀。

天上的星星和眾星座不再發光；太陽剛出來就變為黑暗，月亮也不再發光。

“當那些日子，在那災難以後，太陽就變黑了，月亮也不發光，眾星從天墜落，天上的萬象震動。

羊羔揭開了第六個印的時候，我觀看，大地震就發生了。太陽變黑，像粗糙的黑毛布；整個月亮變紅，像血一樣；天上的星辰墜落在地上，像無花果樹被大風搖動，落下還沒有成熟的果子。天隱退了，像書被捲起來一樣；山嶺和海島都從原處移去了。地上的君王、大臣、軍長、財主、勇士和所有作奴隸的、自由的，都藏在山洞和巖穴裡。他們向山嶺和巖石說：“倒在我們身上吧！把我們藏起來，躲避坐在寶座上那位的面，和羊羔的震怒！因為他們震怒的大日子來到了，誰能站立得住呢？”

但主的日子必要像賊一樣來到。在那日，天必轟然一聲地消失，所有元素都因烈火而融化；地和地上所有的，都要被燒毀（“被燒毀”有不少古抄本作“被發現”）。

我要在天上地下顯出神蹟奇事，有血、有火、有煙柱。太陽將變為黑暗，月亮將變為血紅。在耶和華偉大可畏的日子臨到以前，這一切都要發生。

天上的萬象都必消殘；天也像書卷一般被捲起，所有星宿也必衰殘，像葡萄樹的葉子衰殘一樣，又像無花果樹的葉子凋落一樣。

我要在天上顯出奇事，在地上顯出神蹟，有血、有火、有煙霧；太陽將變為黑暗，月亮將變為血紅，在主偉大顯赫的日子臨到以前，這一切都要發生。

在他們面前，大地震動，諸天搖撼，日月昏暗，星星無光。

第四位天使吹號，太陽的三分之一、月亮的三分之一、星辰的三分之一，就都受到擊打，以致日月星的三分之一都變黑了，白天的三分之一沒有光，夜晚也是這樣。

“日月星辰將有異兆；在地上，各國也要因著海洋波濤的咆哮而困苦不安。天上的萬象震動，人因為等待即將臨到世界的事，都嚇昏了。

耶和華的大日子臨近了，臨近了，來得非常快速。聽！耶和華的日子的聲音。在那日，勇士要哀痛地號叫。那日是忿怒的日子，是困苦艱難的日子，是荒廢淒涼的日子，是黑暗幽冥的日子，是密雲漆黑的日子，

“那時，因那小角說誇大話的聲音，我繼續觀看，看見那獸被殺，屍體被毀，扔在烈火中。至於其餘的三獸，牠們的權柄都被奪去，牠們的生命卻得著延長，直到所定的時候和日期。

耶和華的日子不是黑暗，沒有光明，只有幽暗，全無光輝嗎？

我觀看地，地是空虛混沌；我仰視天，天上也全然無光。我觀看大山，它們盡都震動，小山也都搖來搖去。我觀看，毫無人跡；空中的飛鳥也逃掉了。我觀看，肥美田園變為荒野；在耶和華面前，就是在他烈怒之下，所有的城市都被拆毀。因為耶和華這樣說：“全國都必荒涼，我卻不盡行毀滅。因此，地要悲哀，天必昏暗。因為我說過，就不後悔；我定了意，決不改變。”

我毀滅你的時候，必把天遮蔽，使天上的星昏暗，用密雲遮蓋太陽；月亮也必不發光。我必使天上所有的光體都在你以上變為昏暗；我必使黑暗籠罩你的地；這是主耶和華的宣告。

因為那時必有大災難，這是從世界的開始到現在未曾有過的，以後也必不會再有。

這一切不過是痛苦的開始。
