願賜平安的主隨時隨事親自賜給你們平安！願主與你們眾人同在！

因為無論在得救的人或在滅亡的人當中，我們都是基督馨香之氣，是獻給上帝的。對滅亡的人，這是死而又死的氣味；對得救的人，這是生而又生的氣味。這些事誰能當得起呢？

那時，你們在過犯罪惡中生活，隨從今世的風俗，順服空中掌權者的領袖，就是現今在悖逆的人心中運行的邪靈。我們從前也都生活在他們當中，放縱肉體的私慾，隨着肉體和心中的意念去做，和別人一樣，生來就是該受懲罰的人。

至於我，他們有病的時候，我穿麻衣，禁食，刻苦己心；我所求的都歸到自己身上。

不要被人虛浮的話欺騙了，因這些事，上帝的憤怒必臨到那些悖逆的人。

正義的果實是為促進和平的人用和平栽種出來的。

因有一嬰孩為我們而生；有一子賜給我們。政權必擔在他的肩頭上；他名稱為「奇妙策士、全能的上帝、永在的父、和平的君」。

現在，你當知道，看怎樣做才好。不然，禍患必定臨到我主人和他全家。他性情兇暴，無人敢與他說話。」

作為順服的兒女，就不要效法從前蒙昧無知的時候那放縱私慾的樣子。
