歲以誕日之先後、肆筵既遍、約百乃召眾子、欲贖其罪、夙興、為之各獻燔祭、自謂吾子不無愆尤、遐棄上帝。約百所為恆若此。○

When a period of feasting had run its course, Job would make arrangements for them to be purified. Early in the morning he would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them, thinking,“ Perhaps my children have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular custom.

The time for enjoying good food would end. Then Job would make plans for his children to be made pure and“ clean.” He would sacrifice a burnt offering for each of them. He would do it early in the morning. He would think,“ Perhaps my children have sinned. Maybe they have spoken evil things against God in their hearts.” That’s what Job always did for his children when he felt they had sinned.

And when the days of the feast had run their course, Job would send and consecrate them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said,“ It may be that my children have sinned, and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did continually.

When these celebrations ended— sometimes after several days— Job would purify his children. He would get up early in the morning and offer a burnt offering for each of them. For Job said to himself,“ Perhaps my children have sinned and have cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

Whenever a round of banqueting was over, Job would send for his children and purify them, rising early in the morning to offer burnt offerings for all of them. For Job thought,“ Perhaps my children have sinned, having cursed God in their hearts.” This was Job’s regular practice.

When the days of feasting had completed their cycle, Job would send word to them and consecrate them, getting up early in the morning and offering burnt offerings according to the number of them all; for Job said,“ Perhaps my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Job did so continually.

So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said,“ It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.” Thus Job did regularly.

And it was so, when the days of their feasting were gone about, that Job sent and sanctified them, and rose up early in the morning, and offered burnt- offerings according to the number of them all: for Job said, It may be that my sons have sinned, and renounced God in their hearts. Thus did Job continually.

挪亞為耶和華築了一座壇，拿各種潔淨的牲畜和各種潔淨的飛鳥，獻在壇上為燔祭。

現在你們要為自己取七頭公牛、七隻公羊，到我的僕人約伯那裏去，為自己獻上燔祭，我的僕人約伯就為你們祈禱。我必悅納他，不按你們的愚妄處置你們。你們議論我，不如我的僕人約伯說的正確。」

他說：「為平安來的，我來是要向耶和華獻祭。你們要使自己分別為聖，來跟我一同獻祭。」撒母耳把耶西和他眾兒子分別為聖，請他們來一同獻祭。

有兩個無賴來，坐在拿伯對面。無賴當着百姓作證告他說：「拿伯詛咒神和王了！」眾人就把他拉到城外，用石頭打他，他就死了。

雅各就對他家中的人，以及所有和他一起的人說：「除掉你們中間外邦的神明，要自潔，更換衣服。我們要起來，上伯特利去，在那裏我要築一座壇給神，就是在我遭難的日子應允我，在我行走的路上與我同在的神。」

又叫兩個無賴坐在拿伯對面，作證告他說：『你詛咒了神和王。』然後把他拉出去用石頭打死。」

亞伯拉罕清早起來，預備了驢，帶着跟他一起的兩個僕人和他兒子以撒，劈好了燔祭的柴，就起身往神指示他的地方去了。

所以，時候未到，在主來以前甚麼都不要評斷，他要照出暗中的隱情，揭發人的動機。那時，各人要從神那裏得着稱讚。

你要為你這樣的惡而悔改，祈求主，或者你心裏的意念可得赦免。

或者你的兒女得罪了他，他就把他們交在過犯的掌控中。

要靠着聖靈，隨時多方禱告祈求，並要為此警醒不倦，為眾聖徒祈求。

凡你手所當做的事，要盡力去做；因為在你所必須去的陰間沒有工作，沒有謀算，沒有知識，也沒有智慧。

於是保羅帶着那四個人，第二天與他們一同行了潔淨禮，進了聖殿，報告潔淨期滿的日子，等候祭司為他們各人獻上祭物。

猶太人的逾越節近了，有許多人從鄉下上耶路撒冷去，要在過節前潔淨自己。

祭司和利未人就潔淨自己，也潔淨百姓，以及城門和城牆。

摩西的岳父葉特羅把燔祭和祭物獻給神。亞倫和以色列的眾長老都來了，與摩西的岳父在神面前吃飯。

神的選民晝夜呼籲他，他豈會延遲不給他們伸冤嗎？

耶和華對摩西說：「你往百姓那裏去，使他們今天明天分別為聖，又叫他們洗衣服。

他的妻子對他說：「你仍然持守你的純正嗎？你背棄神，死了吧！」

「人心比萬物都詭詐，壞到極處，誰能識透呢？我－耶和華是鑒察人心，考驗人肺腑的，要按各人所行的和他做事的結果報應他。」

「他的供物若以牛為燔祭，要獻一頭沒有殘疾的公牛，獻在會幕的門口，他就可以在耶和華面前蒙悅納。他要按手在燔祭牲的頭上，為自己贖罪，就蒙悅納。他要在耶和華面前宰公牛犢；亞倫子孫作祭司的要獻上血，把血灑在會幕門口壇的周圍。他要剝去燔祭牲的皮，把燔祭牲切成塊。

他差派以色列的年輕人去獻燔祭，又宰牛獻給耶和華為平安祭。

耶路撒冷啊，你當洗去心中的惡，使你可以得救。惡念在你裏面要存到幾時呢？

有一個以色列婦人的兒子，他父親是埃及人。有一日他出去，到以色列人中。這以色列婦人的兒子和一個以色列人在營裏爭吵。以色列婦人的兒子詛咒，褻瀆了聖名。有人把他送到摩西那裏。他的母親名叫示羅密，是但支派底伯利的女兒。他們把這人收押在監裏，等候耶和華指示的話。耶和華吩咐摩西說：「把那詛咒的人帶到營外。凡聽見的人都要把手放在他頭上，全會眾要用石頭打死他。你要吩咐以色列人說：凡詛咒神的，必要擔當自己的罪。褻瀆耶和華名的，必被處死；全會眾必須用石頭打死他。無論是寄居的，是本地人，他褻瀆聖名的時候必被處死。

耶和華啊，早晨你必聽我的聲音；早晨我要向你陳明我的心思，並要警醒。

牠一起來，神明都恐懼，因崩潰而驚慌失措。

耶和華見人在地上罪大惡極，終日心裏所想的盡都是惡事，

但你若伸手毀他一切所有的，他必當面背棄你。」

他豈以全能者為樂，隨時求告神呢？

因為從人心裏發出種種惡念，如淫亂、偷盜、兇殺、姦淫、貪婪、邪惡、詭詐、淫蕩、嫉妒、毀謗、驕傲、狂妄。這一切的惡都是從裏面出來，且能玷污人。」

我以神嫉妒的愛來愛你們，因為我曾把你們許配給一個丈夫，要把你們如同貞潔的童女獻給基督。

以利亞按照雅各子孫支派的數目，取了十二塊石頭；耶和華的話曾臨到雅各，說：「你的名要叫以色列。」
