Jeremiah had written on a scroll about all the disasters that would come upon Babylon— all that had been recorded concerning Babylon.

他对我说：“将这默示明明地写在版上，使读的人容易读。因为这默示有一定的日期，快要应验，并不虚谎。虽然迟延，还要等候；因为必然临到，不再迟延。”

于是，耶利米又取一书卷交给尼利亚的儿子文士巴录，他就从耶利米的口中写了犹大王约雅敬所烧前卷上的一切话，另外又添了许多相仿的话。

现今你去，在他们面前将这话刻在版上，写在书上，以便传留后世，直到永永远远。

“耶和华以色列的神如此说：你将我对你说过的一切话都写在书上。耶和华说：日子将到，我要使我的百姓以色列和犹大被掳的人归回；我也要使他们回到我所赐给他们列祖之地，他们就得这地为业。这是耶和华说的。”

“你取一书卷，将我对你说攻击以色列和犹大，并各国的一切话，从我对你说话的那日，就是从约西亚的日子起直到今日，都写在其上。或者犹大家听见我想要降与他们的一切灾祸，各人就回头，离开恶道，我好赦免他们的罪孽和罪恶。”所以，耶利米召了尼利亚的儿子巴录来；巴录就从耶利米口中，将耶和华对耶利米所说的一切话写在书卷上。

所以你要把所看见的，和现在的事，并将来必成的事，都写出来。

耶和华对我说：“你取一个大牌，拿人所用的笔，写上‘玛黑珥沙拉勒哈施罢斯’。我要用诚实的见证人，祭司乌利亚和耶比利家的儿子撒迦利亚记录这事。”我以赛亚与妻子同室；她怀孕生子，耶和华就对我说：“给他起名叫玛黑珥沙拉勒哈施罢斯；因为在这小孩子不晓得叫父叫母之先，大马士革的财宝和撒玛利亚的掳物必在亚述王面前搬了去。”

但以理啊，你要隐藏这话，封闭这书，直到末时。必有多人来往奔跑，知识就必增长。”

“你所看见的当写在书上，达与以弗所、士每拿、别迦摩、推雅推喇、撒狄、非拉铁非、老底嘉那七个教会。”
