For the time will surely come when I will punish the idols of Babylon; her whole land will be disgraced and her slain will all lie fallen within her.

I will punish the gods of Babylon. That time will certainly come. Then the whole land will be full of shame. Its people will lie down and die there.

“ Therefore, behold, the days are coming when I will punish the images of Babylon; her whole land shall be put to shame, and all her slain shall fall in the midst of her.

For the time is surely coming when I will punish this great city and all her idols. Her whole land will be disgraced, and her dead will lie in the streets.

Therefore, look, the days are coming when I will punish Babylon’s carved images. Her entire land will suffer shame, and all her slain will lie fallen within her.

你们要在万国中传扬报告，竖立大旗；要报告，不可隐瞒，说：“巴比伦被攻取，彼勒蒙羞，米罗达惊惶。巴比伦的神像都蒙羞；他的偶像都惊惶。

耶和华说：“日子将到，我必刑罚巴比伦雕刻的偶像，通国受伤的人必唉哼。

彼勒屈身，尼波弯腰；巴比伦的偶像驮在兽和牲畜上。他们所抬的如今成了重驮，使牲畜疲乏，都一同弯腰屈身，不能保全重驮，自己倒被掳去。

看哪，有一队军兵骑着马，一对一对地来。他就说：“巴比伦倾倒了！倾倒了！他一切雕刻的神像都打碎于地。”

耶和华说：“有刀剑临到迦勒底人和巴比伦的居民，并他的首领与智慧人。有刀剑临到矜夸的人，他们就成为愚昧；有刀剑临到他的勇士，他们就惊惶。有刀剑临到他的马匹、车辆，和其中杂族的人民；他们必像妇女一样。有刀剑临到他的宝物，就被抢夺。有干旱临到他的众水，就必干涸；因为这是有雕刻偶像之地，人因偶像而癫狂。所以旷野的走兽和豺狼必住在那里，鸵鸟也住在其中，永无人烟，世世代代无人居住。”耶和华说：“必无人住在那里，也无人在其中寄居，要像我倾覆所多玛、蛾摩拉，和邻近的城邑一样。

都是虚无的，是迷惑人的工作，到追讨的时候，必被除灭。

七十年满了以后，我必刑罚巴比伦王和那国民，并迦勒底人之地，因他们的罪孽使那地永远荒凉。这是耶和华说的。

耶和华说：“我必在你们眼前报复巴比伦人和迦勒底居民在锡安所行的诸恶。”

耶和华立你自己所交的朋友为首，辖制你，那时你还有什么话说呢？痛苦岂不将你抓住像产难的妇人吗？

他的城邑变为荒场、旱地、沙漠，无人居住，无人经过之地。

所以万军之耶和华如此说：“看哪，我必刑罚他们；他们的少年人必被刀剑杀死，他们的儿女必因饥荒灭亡，

你们的母巴比伦就极其抱愧，生你们的必然蒙羞。他要列在诸国之末，成为旷野、旱地、沙漠。因耶和华的忿怒，必无人居住，要全然荒凉。凡经过巴比伦的要受惊骇，又因他所遭的灾殃嗤笑。所有拉弓的，你们要在巴比伦的四围摆阵，射箭攻击他。不要爱惜箭枝，因他得罪了耶和华。你们要在他四围呐喊；他已经投降。外郭坍塌了，城墙拆毁了，因为这是耶和华报仇的事。你们要向巴比伦报仇；他怎样待人，也要怎样待他。你们要将巴比伦撒种的和收割时拿镰刀的都剪除了。他们各人因怕欺压的刀剑，必归回本族，逃到本土。”

无论是先知，是祭司，是百姓，说‘耶和华的默示’，我必刑罚那人和他的家。
