“ He made the earth by his power; he founded the world by his wisdom and stretched out the heavens by his understanding.

自从造天地以来，神的永能和神性是明明可知的，虽是眼不能见，但藉着所造之物就可以晓得，叫人无可推诿。

耶和华用能力创造大地，用智慧建立世界，用聪明铺张穹苍。他一发声，空中便有多水激动；他使云雾从地极上腾；他造电随雨而闪，从他府库中带出风来。各人都成了畜类，毫无知识；各银匠都因他雕刻的偶像羞愧。他所铸的偶像本是虚假的，其中并无气息，都是虚无的，是迷惑人的工作；到追讨的时候必被除灭。雅各的份不像这些，因他是造作万有的主。以色列也是他产业的支派，万军之耶和华是他的名。

“主耶和华啊，你曾用大能和伸出来的膀臂创造天地，在你没有难成的事。

耶和华以智慧立地，以聪明定天，

披上亮光，如披外袍，铺张穹苍，如铺幔子，

“我们的主，我们的神，你是配得荣耀、尊贵、权柄的；因为你创造了万物，并且万物是因你的旨意被创造而有的。”

以雅各的神为帮助、仰望耶和华他神的，这人便为有福！耶和华造天、地、海，和其中的万物；他守诚实，直到永远。

“诸君，为什么做这事呢？我们也是人，性情和你们一样。我们传福音给你们，是叫你们离弃这些虚妄，归向那创造天、地、海，和其中万物的永生神。

我手立了地的根基；我右手铺张诸天；我一招呼便都立住。’

称谢那用智慧造天的，因他的慈爱永远长存。

却忘记铺张诸天、立定地基、创造你的耶和华。又因欺压者图谋毁灭要发的暴怒，整天害怕！其实那欺压者的暴怒在哪里呢？

因他一吩咐，狂风就起来，海中的波浪也扬起。

深哉，神丰富的智慧和知识！他的判断何其难测！他的踪迹何其难寻！

创造诸天，铺张穹苍，将地和地所出的一并铺开，赐气息给地上的众人，又赐灵性给行在其上之人的神耶和华，他如此说：

就在这末世藉着他儿子晓谕我们；又早已立他为承受万有的，也曾藉着他创造诸世界。他是神荣耀所发的光辉，是神本体的真像，常用他权能的命令托住万有。他洗净了人的罪，就坐在高天至大者的右边。

我造地，又造人在地上。我亲手铺张诸天；天上万象也是我所命定的。

创造宇宙和其中万物的神，既是天地的主，就不住人手所造的殿，

从你出胎，造就你的救赎主耶和华如此说：“我耶和华是创造万物的，是独自铺张诸天、铺开大地的。谁与我同在呢？

耶和华啊，你所造的何其多！都是你用智慧造成的；遍地满了你的丰富。

因为万有都是靠他造的，无论是天上的，地上的；能看见的，不能看见的；或是有位的，主治的，执政的，掌权的；一概都是藉着他造的，又是为他造的。他在万有之先；万有也靠他而立。

你们向上举目，看谁创造这万象，按数目领出，他一一称其名；因他的权能，又因他的大能大力，连一个都不缺。”

神坐在地球大圈之上；地上的居民好像蝗虫。他铺张穹苍如幔子，展开诸天如可住的帐棚。

你们要赞美耶和华！从天上赞美耶和华，在高处赞美他！他的众使者都要赞美他！他的诸军都要赞美他！日头月亮，你们要赞美他！放光的星宿，你们都要赞美他！天上的天和天上的水，你们都要赞美他！愿这些都赞美耶和华的名！因他一吩咐便都造成。

起初，神创造天地。地是空虚混沌，渊面黑暗；神的灵运行在水面上。神说：“要有光”，就有了光。神看光是好的，就把光暗分开了。神称光为昼，称暗为夜。有晚上，有早晨，这是头一日。神说：“诸水之间要有空气，将水分为上下。”
