神也没有宽容上古的世代，曾叫洪水临到那不敬虔的世代，却保护了传义道的挪亚一家八口。

就是那从前在挪亚预备方舟、神容忍等待的时候，不信从的人。当时进入方舟，藉着水得救的不多，只有八个人。

挪亚因着信，既蒙神指示他未见的事，动了敬畏的心，预备了一只方舟，使他全家得救。因此就定了那世代的罪，自己也承受了那从信而来的义。

挪亚的日子怎样，人子的日子也要怎样。那时候的人又吃又喝，又娶又嫁，到挪亚进方舟的那日，洪水就来，把他们全都灭了。

水就回流，淹没了车辆和马兵。那些跟着以色列人下海法老的全军，连一个也没有剩下。以色列人却在海中走干地；水在他们的左右作了墙垣。当日，耶和华这样拯救以色列人脱离埃及人的手，以色列人看见埃及人的死尸都在海边了。

你六次遭难，他必救你；就是七次，灾祸也无法害你。

看哪，耶和华使地空虚，变为荒凉；又翻转大地，将居民分散。那时百姓怎样，祭司也怎样；仆人怎样，主人也怎样；婢女怎样，主母也怎样；买物的怎样，卖物的也怎样；放债的怎样，借债的也怎样；取利的怎样，出利的也怎样。地必全然空虚，尽都荒凉；因为这话是耶和华说的。地上悲哀衰残，世界败落衰残；地上居高位的人也败落了。地被其上的居民污秽；因为他们犯了律法，废了律例，背了永约。所以，地被咒诅吞灭；住在其上的显为有罪。地上的居民被火焚烧，剩下的人稀少。新酒悲哀，葡萄树衰残；心中欢乐的俱都叹息。击鼓之乐止息；宴乐人的声音完毕，弹琴之乐也止息了。

主知道搭救敬虔的人脱离试探，把不义的人留在刑罚之下，等候审判的日子。

万军之耶和华说：“在我所定的日子，他们必属我，特特归我。我必怜恤他们，如同人怜恤服侍自己的儿子。那时你们必归回，将善人和恶人，侍奉神的和不侍奉神的，分别出来。”

住在至高者隐密处的，必住在全能者的荫下。

凡在地上有血肉的动物，就是飞鸟、牲畜、走兽，和爬在地上的昆虫，以及所有的人，都死了。凡在旱地上、鼻孔有气息的生灵都死了。

故此，当时的世界被水淹没就消灭了。

其中虽有挪亚、但以理、约伯这三人，他们只能因他们的义救自己的性命。这是主耶和华说的。我若使恶兽经过糟践那地，使地荒凉，以致因这些兽，人都不得经过；虽有这三人在其中，主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他们连儿带女都不能得救，只能自己得救，那地仍然荒凉。或者我使刀剑临到那地，说：刀剑哪，要经过那地，以致我将人与牲畜从其中剪除；虽有这三人在其中，主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他们连儿带女都不能得救，只能自己得救。或者我叫瘟疫流行那地，使我灭命的忿怒倾在其上，好将人与牲畜从其中剪除；虽有挪亚、但以理、约伯在其中，主耶和华说：我指着我的永生起誓，他们连儿带女都不能救，只能因他们的义救自己的性命。”

发怒的日子资财无益；惟有公义能救人脱离死亡。

这些人要往永刑里去；那些义人要往永生里去。”

你要依从上古的道吗？这道是恶人所行的。他们未到死期，忽然除灭；根基毁坏，好像被江河冲去。他们向神说：‘离开我们吧！’又说：‘全能者能把我们怎么样呢？’
