And the Lord said,“ My Spirit shall not strive with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

耶和华说：“人既属乎血气，我的灵就不永远住在他里面；然而他的日子还可到一百二十年。”

永恆主說：『人類既是屬肉體的，我的靈就不永遠住在人類裏面：他在世的日子可以活到一百二十歲。』

耶和華就說：「我的靈不會永遠住在人裡面，因人是血肉之軀；他的年日只可以到一百二十年。」

耶和華曰、人既屬乎形軀、我神必不恆居其中、然其時日、尚可延至一百二十年、

耶和華曰、人既縱欲、我神必不恆牖其衷、然尚可延其生命、至於一百二十年。

主曰、人既為肉體、我之神不恆居於其內、或作我之神不永與之爭姑容其一百二十年、或作以後其壽命至一百二十年

Then the Lord said,“ My Spirit will not contend with humans forever, for they are mortal; their days will be a hundred and twenty years.”

Then the Lord said,“ My Spirit will not struggle with human beings forever. They will have only 120 years to live.”

Then the Lord said,“ My Spirit shall not abide in man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.”

Then the Lord said,“ My Spirit will not put up with humans for such a long time, for they are only mortal flesh. In the future, their normal lifespan will be no more than 120 years.”

And the LORD said,“ My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt. Their days will be 120 years.”

Then the Lord said,“ My Spirit will not remain with man forever, because he is also flesh; nevertheless his days shall be 120 years.”

And Jehovah said, My Spirit shall not strive with man for ever, for that he also is flesh: yet shall his days be a hundred and twenty years.

And the Lord said,“ My Spirit will not remain with mankind forever, because they are corrupt. Their days will be 120 years.”

And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also[ is] flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

So the LORD said,“ My spirit will not remain in humankind indefinitely, since they are mortal. They will remain for 120 more years.”

Yahweh said,“ My Spirit will not strive with man forever, because he also is flesh; so his days will be one hundred twenty years.”

Yet for many years You had patience with them, And testified against them by Your Spirit in Your prophets. Yet they would not listen; Therefore You gave them into the hand of the peoples of the lands.

For Christ also suffered once for sins, the just for the unjust, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive by the Spirit,by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison,who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

But they rebelled and grieved His Holy Spirit; So He turned Himself against them as an enemy, And He fought against them.

Do not quench the Spirit.

For He remembered that they were but flesh, A breath that passes away and does not come again.

Then I will come down and talk with you there. I will take of the Spirit that is upon you and will put the same upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, that you may not bear it yourself alone.

Therefore thus says the Lord:“ Behold, I will surely bring calamity on them which they will not be able to escape; and though they cry out to Me, I will not listen to them.

I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish.But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness,idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,gentleness, self-control. Against such there is no law.And those who are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

What more could have been done to My vineyard That I have not done in it? Why then, when I expected it to bring forth good grapes, Did it bring forth wild grapes?

“ You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You always resist the Holy Spirit; as your fathers did, so do you.

Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying,“ Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints,to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”

There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit.For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be.So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God.But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.Therefore, brethren, we are debtors— not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh.For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live.

That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

For I earnestly exhorted your fathers in the day I brought them up out of the land of Egypt, until this day, rising early and exhorting, saying,“ Obey My voice.”
