Judah acknowledged them, and said,“ She is more righteous than I, because I didn’t give her to Shelah, my son.” He knew her again no more.

Judah recognized them and said,“ She is more righteous than I, since I wouldn’t give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not sleep with her again.

Judah recognized them. He said,“ She’s a better person than I am. I should have given her to my son Shelah, but I didn’t.” Judah never slept with Tamar again.

Then Judah identified them and said,“ She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not know her again.

Judah recognized them immediately and said,“ She is more righteous than I am, because I didn’t arrange for her to marry my son Shelah.” And Judah never slept with Tamar again.

Judah recognized them and said,“ She is more in the right than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not know her intimately again.

And Judah recognized them, and said,“ She is more righteous than I, since I did not give her to my son Shelah.” And he did not have relations with her again.

So Judah acknowledged them and said,“ She has been more righteous than I, because I did not give her to Shelah my son.” And he never knew her again.

Judah recognized them and said,“ She is more upright than I am, because I wouldn’t give her to Shelah my son.” He did not have sexual relations with her again.

He said to David,“ You are more righteous than I; for you have done good to me, whereas I have done evil to you.

that you no longer should live the rest of your time in the flesh for the lusts of men, but for the will of God.For we have spent enough of our past time doing the desire of the Gentiles, and having walked in lewdness, lusts, drunken binges, orgies, carousings, and abominable idolatries.

For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,instructing us to the intent that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we would live soberly, righteously, and godly in this present age;

I have spoken once, and I will not answer; Yes, twice, but I will proceed no further.”

Therefore produce fruit worthy of repentance!

Now we know that whatever things the law says, it speaks to those who are under the law, that every mouth may be closed, and all the world may be brought under the judgment of God.

They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.

She took off the garments of her widowhood, and covered herself with her veil, and wrapped herself, and sat in the gate of Enaim, which is on the way to Timnah; for she saw that Shelah was grown up, and she wasn’t given to him as a wife.

You who have purer eyes than to see evil, and who cannot look on perversity, why do you tolerate those who deal treacherously, and keep silent when the wicked swallows up the man who is more righteous than he,

He recognized it, and said,“ It is my son’s tunic. An evil animal has devoured him. Joseph is without doubt torn in pieces.”

The night is far gone, and the day is near. Let’s therefore throw off the deeds of darkness, and let’s put on the armor of light.

The man knew Eve his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Cain, and said,“ I have gotten a man with Yahweh’s help.”

You also bear your own shame yourself, in that you have given judgment for your sisters; through your sins that you have committed more abominable than they, they are more righteous than you. Yes, be also confounded, and bear your shame, in that you have justified your sisters.

So they spread a tent for Absalom on the top of the house, and Absalom went in to his father’s concubines in the sight of all Israel.

But now it has come to you, and you faint. It touches you, and you are troubled.
