Now on the way, at a place where they stopped for the night, the LORD met Moses and sought to kill him.But Zipporah took a flint knife, cut off the foreskin of her son and touched it to Moses’ feet, and said,“ Surely you are a bridegroom of blood to me.”So the LORD let him alone.( At that time she said,“ A bridegroom of blood,” referring to the circumcision.)

For seven days yeast must not be found in your houses, for whoever eats what is made with yeast– that person will be cut off from the community of Israel, whether a foreigner or one born in the land.

They were uncircumcised; their fathers had not circumcised them along the way.When all the men had been circumcised, they stayed there in the camp until they had healed.The LORD said to Joshua,“ Today I have taken away the disgrace of Egypt from you.” So that place is called Gilgal even to this day.So the Israelites camped in Gilgal and celebrated the Passover in the evening of the fourteenth day of the month on the plains of Jericho.They ate some of the produce of the land the day after the Passover, including unleavened bread and roasted grain.The manna stopped appearing the day they ate some of the produce of the land; the Israelites never ate manna again.

For this reason, whoever eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord i n an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord.

Whoever makes perfume like it and whoever puts any of it on someone not a priest will be cut off from his people.’”

The earth is defiled by its inhabitants, for they have violated laws, disregarded the regulation, and broken the permanent treaty.

They have gone back to the evil ways of their ancestors of old who refused to obey what I told them. They, too, have paid allegiance to other gods and worshiped them. Both the nation of Israel and the nation of Judah have violated the covenant I made with their ancestors.

Any person who eats any blood– that person will be cut off from his people.’”

and the one who eats it will bear his punishment for iniquity because he has profaned what is holy to the LORD. That person will be cut off from his people.
